transferred from Atlantic Coast and she and her front court teammates may present one of the tallest tandems on the First Coast. Henderson combines athleticism, shot blocking ability, rebounding, and clutch play, making her one of the top bigs on the First Coast. She thrives on effort plays and loves to run the floor in transition.

had a great summer and recently announced a commitment to the University of Texas Permian Basin. Henderson set the tone early in the travel season and showcased athleticism and tangibles that you can’t teach. Henderson is 6’1, she can run like guards, control the glass, and she can defend the paint. Henderson has the ability to take her game to another level when the game is on the line.

is one of the “Quiet Thorns” in the Rose Garden. Henderson doesn’t say much, but lets her defense do the talking. She can block shots from the power forward and center positions and she can even play out on the perimeter. Henderson has a “clutch” gene where her thorns are at their sharpest in crucial moments of the game. She is a game changer on the defensive end and will be a player to watch during the upcoming live period. She is a hot recruit who has received several recent offers, largely in part to her defensive efforts.

Imani is a long, athletic post that gets up and down the floor so well. Her energy and effort to snag boards and elevate for those rebounds or on her shot make her a nightmare for opponents. She has received offers from Flagler (D2), UTPB (D2), and Ft Lauderdale (NCCAA) in the last month.

has been balling out on the big stage on the Grassroots circuit. Henderson left a void on the First Coast travel season, but re-emerged this season as a force- a talent so undeniable that coaches are showing interest. Henderson led her school to a Gateway final appearance and a District title in her Sophomore year. Henderson recommitted to the sport this travel season and her team has been one of the most impressive teams on the Grassroots circuit. Henderson runs the floor like a guard, establishes great position in the post, and has shown ability to dominate in the middle of the paint. Defensively, she is a rim protector who blocks shots and changes even more. One thing that has always impressed me is her ability to lock in at the most pivotal moment of an event. She consistently makes the key block, grabs the key rebound, or scores the main bucket in the clutch. This travel season, she has shown a lot of growth to her game and a total commitment to her craft. Her touch in her mid-range shots has been impressive, and her ability to pass the ball out of double teams and the ability to pass to her big on the other side has revealed her basketball IQ. A talent like Henderson will have the recruiters traveling to the First Coast and making a stop on Henderson Ave.

has done a good job of contributing on offense, defense, and the transition game. The junior center has good height, has good athleticism, and can get up and down the floor with a very good pace. Henderson has scored in a variety of ways, and really stands out in the transition game, scoring on break. She has also done a good job of establishing position early in the offense. At times, her length and athleticism have been too much for the opposition to handle. Henderson’s confidence and passion for the game are two of the main things that stand out.

looked to have gained that passion and touch on the floor and looked like the Henderson from two years ago. A college coach saw her when she was young and stated how talented she was and how she was probably not even aware at that early age. This past weekend, many coaches saw the same thing. Henderson ran the floor well, scored in the paint, and had some nice mid-range jump shots. Defensively, she covered well on the inside and also made her presence felt on the perimeter, getting steals and interceptions. Henderson has the talent and a few more tournaments like this past week and her stock will significantly rise.

played well in the first round of the tournament. Henderson is a beast on the inside and just makes controlling the paint look easy on defense. She rejected shots, grabbed rebounds, and was a finisher on the break and on the inside. Henderson was a mismatch in the paint all game long. I’ve watched Henderson several times and her athleticism is off the charts. She has power, length, can run the floor, can defend the paint, and score in the middle.

was out there blocking shots with authority this week and dominating on the glass on both ends of the floor. The power forward is in a rare class when you factor in her size, athleticism, and her ability to deliver in the clutch. Henderson has that switch that she can turn on in pressure moments. With the game on the line, she will make the block, score the winning basket, grab the crucial rebound, or do whatever it takes to win. Henderson runs the floor and can score in transition. She controls the glass and does a good job of scoring off the rebound. Defensively, Henderson thrives in the paint and usually blocks everything in her vicinity or at least intimidates the opponent. Henderson is an elite athlete and when it’s all said and done she could end up as one of the top bigs to ever play on the First Coast.
