At the Florida Brawl she showed explosiveness on the rebounds and tracked the basketball very well. Torres consistently won the battles on the glass with great effort, timing, and strength. Offensively, Torres was effective around the basket, establishing position in the paint and finishing through contact. Her ability to rebound, score inside, and impact the defensive end makes her a very attractive prospect. Torres helped her team go unblemished during last week’s live period. She is playing at her highest level in years and that could spell trouble for any big she is facing at Wellington.

She brought an explosive presence, especially on the glass, where she attacked rebounds with purpose and tracked the ball at a high level. Offensively, she was highly effective in the paint, finishing strong and making scoring look almost automatic when she got touches down low. Her ability to establish position and produce in the blocks stood out, and defensively, she added value with her physicality and presence. At her best, she showed flashes of being a dominant interior force.

Last season she averaged 9 rebounds per game. Torres is active on the glass, consistently tracking rebounds and creating extra possessions. Defensively, she has good shot-blocking instincts, showing strong timing as a help defender and around the paint. Torres also plays with physicality and effort. Her combination of rebounding, scoring inside, and defensive presence gives her strong upside at the power forward position.

Five weeks in and Karli Torres Karli Torres 5'11" | PF Ed White | 2027 State FL is quietly putting together an eye opening season – making contributions in the scoring department, rebound department, getting to the line, and putting the opposition in foul trouble. Torres provides a strong presence in the middle and her presence alone controls the paint and turns penetrators away (Especially with Imani Henderson Imani Henderson 6'1" | PF Ed White | 2026 State FL on the other side). Torres can score the ball on the inside and runs the floor well at the 4 or 5 position.

Karli Torres Karli Torres 5'11" | PF Ed White | 2027 State FL is a young forward who has so much upside.  She has been a force on the defensive end with close to 100 blocks in her first 2 years on the  court.    She has also been consistent on the boards with 7.1 rebounds per game.  Torres enters her Junior season with more experience and with the exit of the team’s top big, she could have a breakout season.  She has the potential to be a walking double – double next season.

Last season Torres averaged 1.1 blocks per game had 32 blocks for the season. She also grabbed nearly 8 rebounds per game. Torres has good mobility, she is very athletic, and brings physicality to the game. She was a recent standout against elite opposition at the Demetrius Richardson Showcase.

This past season she had 9 games of 9 or more rebounds, and she averaged over 7 rebounds per game. At the showcase, Torres was a force on the inside and not much scoring was happening while she was in the paint. She sent a few shots the other way and showed she can score on the inside on the offensive side. Torres has good size and strength and is an athletic power forward – center. The Sophomore has a lot of upside and should have a breakout AAU season with all of her attributes.

She can rebound the ball in an elite way and has posted a few games where she snatched 14 rebounds or more. Torres also scores well in the paint. Torres made a big impression and her stock will continue to grow.
