Irelynn is a crafty guard who caught my attention with her ability to create off the dribble during the 5v5 portion of the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. The Team 7 guard has a good handle and plays with plenty of shiftiness, using changes of direction to create space and work her way into the lane. Once she gets around the rim, Irelynn showed creativity as a finisher and the ability to adjust when the defense stepped in front of her. One of her more impressive moves was a smooth spin in the lane that was difficult for the defense to contain and created a scoring opportunity. She also showed a good understanding of how to move without the ball, timing a backdoor cut perfectly and turning it into a bucket. With her combination of ball handling, creativity, footwork, and feel for finding openings in the defense, Irelynn is an under-the-radar freshman I’ll be interested to continue watching.

I’ve had plenty of opportunities to watch Irelynn over the last few weeks, and there’s a reason her name continues to show up in my notes. She has been active at numerous camps and consistently finds ways to make an impact, and the Alma Elite Camp was no different. Irelynn excelled during the drill work, showing strong ball-handling skills and knocking down shots during the shooting stations. On the defensive end, she showed good instincts and a strong understanding of the game, frequently anticipating passes and jumping into passing lanes. Her consistency and ability to contribute in multiple areas continue to make her a player worth keeping an eye on.

Irelynn, a guard for Team 3, showed poise and confidence with the ball at the Grand Valley Elite Camp. She handled pressure well, staying composed when defenders applied pressure and using a smooth retreat dribble to create space and reset the possession. Irelynn also displayed good court vision, delivering a couple of quality passes to teammates throughout the evening. On the defensive end, she competed with toughness and made her presence felt by consistently challenging the opposition. Her ball-handling and composure stood out for a young guard in the 2030 class.

Irelynn, an incoming freshman, was one of the standout underclassmen at the Cornerstone Elite Camp, showcasing a well-rounded game and consistent effort throughout the afternoon. She stood out during the ball-handling skill work, displaying confidence and control with the basketball. In the live 5-on-5 sessions, Irelynn made an impact on both ends of the floor, using active hands to create defensive disruptions while also knocking down multiple shots from beyond the arc. She sprinted the floor for easy transition baskets and showcased her ability to attack off the dribble with a strong drive and finish at the rim. Her performance showed she is already making the most of opportunities to compete against high-level talent as she prepares for her freshman season.

Irelynn, competing with Team Fever at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, put together a strong all-around performance from start to finish and earned 1st Team honors for her efforts. She set the tone early during 3v3 play, attacking the rim with control while staying low and balanced, and pairing that with aggressive on-ball defense and active hands. In the skill work, she stood out by consistently knocking down shots from beyond the arc, while also showing confident ball-handling and solid footwork on her finishing moves. That momentum carried into 5v5 action, where she continued to create off the dribble, scoring on multiple drives and connecting on additional perimeter shots. Defensively, she remained disruptive, applying pressure and coming up with strips to create turnovers. Her shifty handle, scoring ability, and defensive activity all contributed to a very impressive showing throughout the day.

Irelynn might be a 2030, but she didn’t show an ounce of timidity on the court. She was a playmaker for Team 8 at the Freshman Showcase. Irelynn caught a pass and accelerated down the baseline with a dribble burst to score a soft floater off two feet. Irelynn penetrated a gap again with a shifty crossover move to score another layup and buried a wing three. I’m sure Irelynn is going to tear it up during her school season, and I’ll be looking for her on the travel circuit next spring!
