has the opportunity to become a key leader for Warren Central moving forward. The talented floor general brings quickness, confidence, and a strong understanding of how to run an offense.
Frieson excels with the ball in her hands, creating opportunities for teammates while also applying pressure to defenses with her ability to attack the lane. Her speed allows her to push the pace in transition, and she has shown the ability to make plays in both open-floor and half-court situations.
As June competition begins, Frieson will be counted on to organize the Warriors offensively while continuing to grow as a scorer. Her development as a decision-maker and leader could make her one of the more important young guards to watch throughout the summer. Playing in one of the state’s premier programs should provide plenty of opportunities to showcase her skill set against elite competition.
To be a key starter/contributor at Warren Central, I don’t care how tall you are; you have to have some ability. Jada can definitely be a handful for opponents. She is very strong, quick, and quick with the ball. She does a nice job of getting defenders off-balance so she can get downhill, and she absorbs contact well and can finish inside among the trees. She has some touch outside, but her key trait is breaking down defenses to score or find teammates. She’s also an effortful defender who plays with a lot of physicality at that end of the floor. She’ll even get inside to scoop up rebounds.
Jada is someone I have been watching for a while. She has struggled with injuries here and there, but she has always been a heady, crafty, and hard-working point guard prospect who does a nice job of utilizing her strong frame to get into the paint and find teammates. She’s also a solid finisher through contact and around length. She’s capable of knocking down an open rhythm ‘3’, keeping defenses honest, plus she’ll get after it defensively and doesn’t mind using her physicality around the perimeter.
Jada is a really nice, strong, compact point guard with a lot of creativity to her game. She utilizes the dribble well to create space and/or get defenders off-balance. She did a really nice job in the game I saw of constantly putting pressure on the defense by getting downhill, attacking the paint, and drawing in “help” defenders before finding open teammates. She is a tough assignment.
