About Jaelyn
Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
At 5’10, Bursey-Dixon (pictured above) blends perimeter skill with inside presence. She attacks from the wing but is also comfortable playing with her back to the basket. Jaelyn has nice hands, runs the floor well, and rebounds at a high level. Her footwork is advanced, and she stays poised in traffic. A strong athlete with good instincts, she can push the pace off the dribble and make smart decisions. Still developing her consistency, Jaelyn has plenty of room to grow with nice upside – and that’s part of what makes her so interesting as a prospect.

Bursey-Dixon displayed great patience and footwork at the showcase when she would catch the ball in the paint. Standing 5’10, Jaelyn has a nice balance of attacking from the perimeter and playing with her back to the basket. She run the floor with the best of them and has good hands being able to make tough catches on the move. She rebounds well and proved to be comfortable with the ball in her hands to push the pace. With the loss of a few key players to graduation at Spring Lake Park, Bursey-Dixon is putting herself in position to challenge for some varsity clock this upcoming campaign.
