Nickerson is a “long and athletic” guard, and that is also the base, but what I have always enjoyed about her game is that she’s heady, plays under control, and takes good shots. Nickerson handled the ball under pressure effortlessly at times, and her COP, “change of pace,” had defenders calling the law for help. She’s another “long and athletic” guard with solid body control after contact, yet her “stop and pop” jumper kept whoever was on her guessing

Nickerson continues to elevate her game and she’s one of those players that can get hers “in the flow” yet don’t blink because she can take over games offensively and score in droves. She understands how to patiently set the defender up to score off the dribble but she mixes it up nicely and drops the jumper from outside. She also does a good job defensively

Nickerson is an athletic guard that does a good job of using her athleticism on both ends of the court. Her on the ball pressure baseline to baseline helps to create turnovers, she reads the floor so playing the passing lane is a given, yet her court vision in the open court as well as in the set are both solid. She creates her shot while being defended and either scores off the dribble, after contact included, or drop the jumper from mid to long-range

Nickerson gave me a different look on what she brings to the table, yes, I know she’s explosive off the dribble, in the set as well as the open court, she showed that but she also did a good job of being a facilitator and getting her teammates involved yet also scoring in the flow. Her “on the ball” pressure was nice as she came away with steals as well as helping to force turnovers but she also played the passing lane

Nickerson is one of the most explosive guards in her class and her ability to not only take the defender off the dribble and score but finish strongly after contact has always been there. She’s handling the ball better under pressure and seeing the floor both in the set as well as i the open court yet her pull-up jumper and dropping it, from mid to long-range, while being defended has taken her game to another level. She does a good job defending in the set, as well as baseline to baseline
