Jaiden is going into her senior year at Benson High School determined to make a strong contribution to their upcoming season.

She has good size at 6’1” and is a strong forward. Her strengths are her defense and her ability to read the floor well and make good decisions during plays. When interviewed about why she loves basketball, she says because it’s given her so much, and it’s incredibly challenging. Basketball pushes her to grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person.

This coming season, Jaiden wants to get better at being more confident and be a great senior leader for her team, because it’s her last year at Benson. Her dream college programs are UCLA and U of O.

The Benson rising senior (2026) rebounds well on both ends, boxing out on defense and crashing the boards on offense. Young has a long wingspan to protect the paint on one end and flash down the lane on the other. She finds the open gap on the weak side against the zone and can knock down the catch-and-shoot middy. She moves the ball well and can make the quick feed to the cutter inside for the assist.
