About Jarymar

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a versatile Combo Guard who takes pride in playing both ends of the floor.I’m a strong shooter,a defensive player who competes with intensity and a team-first passer who looks to create opportunities for others.I’m currently developing my point guard skills and ball handling to become a more complete player.I play with energy,discipline and high basketball IQ to impact the game beyond scoring.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am disciplined, coachable, competitive, and always willing to learn. I believe in leading by example through hard work, respect, and consistency. I enjoy encouraging my teammates and helping create a positive and united team environment on and off the court. I take pride in being someone younger players can look up to and someone coaches can trust.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been honored to represent Puerto Rico as part of the Puerto Rico Youth National 15U Program and was a Centrobasket medalist at 13 years old. Being able to compete at that level at a young age has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my basketball journey. I continue working to grow both academically and athletically while representing my community, team, and family with pride.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has helped me develop leadership, discipline,teamwork,communication and accountability.I work hard to bring positive energy to my team and help create strong chemistry on and off the court.I enjoy motivating teammates,leading by example and helping younger players develop confidence and discipline.I also take pride in being coachable, learning quickly, and always putting the team first.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my biggest challenges has been continuing to grow my game while taking on new responsibilities as a guard. I have worked hard to improve my ball handling and point guard skills so I can become a more complete player. I have also learned how important discipline, patience, and consistency are when competing at a high level. Every challenge has helped me become mentally stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically while helping me continue to grow as a player and person. I want to be part of a competitive basketball program with a strong team culture, great coaching, and a family-oriented environment. I value discipline, development, leadership, and opportunities to compete at a high level while preparing for my future.
