Flores has what a lot of college coaches are looking for at the guard position, which is that rare combination of size, skill, and athleticism. Jarymar has all three in spades, but it is the first and last two attributes that left the biggest impression on me. Flores plays way bigger than 5’9 with her wingspan and leaping ability. She used them well on both ends of the floor, defensively smothering ball handlers and making the simplest of tasks difficult. Offensively, Flores’ strength now is slashing to the basket and getting out in transition and finishing on the break.
