Moriah was efficient on Friday, showcasing the young talent ECS has to offer. She finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds while playing controlled and within her role. Her performance highlights a bright future for both herself and the program, which looks poised to remain a staple at the state tournament.

Moriah Walker Moriah Walker 5'10" | SG/SF Evangelical Christian | 2029 State FL is a slasher who can get downhill and attack the basket. She is a versatile player able to play the guard position and forward position with good length and height. Walker has the ability to take over a game in stretches and projects to be a major force as her game matures and she becomes more aggressive on the offensive end. Walker comes into the final four averaging 8.3 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, and can even block a shot or two in the flow of the game. Walker is active as this freshman is an X-Factor in the playoffs.

Moriah comes in at No. 18 after standing out at our Freshman Showcase and proving herself on one of the most talented, deepest rosters in the state. She brings advanced size and length for her age, along with versatility, energy, and poise that allow her to impact the game on both ends. Defensively, she uses her length and motor to create deflections and block shots across the floor. Offensively, she can score in bunches, knocks down shots from the perimeter, attacks the rim, and anticipates misses to rebound on both ends. With her physical tools, confidence, and competitive edge, Moriah establishes herself as one of the top 2029 prospects in Southwest Florida.

Moriah stood out with her size and length which are advanced for her age and give her an immediate impact on both ends. She displayed solid court vision including an impressive bounce pass that threaded the needle under defenders’ hands for an assist. Moriah can score from the outside with a reliable shot or use her dribble to attack the basket as a versatile scorer. With her skill set and physical tools, she projects to play quality minutes for a team with postseason aspirations.

Moriah really stood out during the Freshman Showcase and was a no-brainer add to the 2029 Watch List. She brought versatility, energy with her motor, and confidence and poise with her game. Defensively, she uses that versatility to create deflections and block shots from anywhere. On the offensive end, she can score it in bunches and anticipates misses for rebounds on both ends. Walker is easily one of the top 2029’s in SWFL.

Offensively, she cut to the rim for easy layups, while defensively, she forced turnovers with her active hands. She also knocked down some big shots off the catch, and her competitive motor stayed consistent all day.

Mo is a hooper that I briefly saw in Chicago this summer. Her ability to push it in transition, pass the ball unselfishly, and make some nice finishes at the rim really stood out to me. During the HS season, she played very good minutes for a veteran squad in SWFL that made it to Lakeland and barely lost to the eventual State Champs.
