There were 45+ players, split up into 5 teams, that went out and gave it everything they had competing in 3-4 contests throughout the day . Below I am going to give my evaluation of each player on Team 2 and how they look going into the high school season.

#158 – Aenaya Lucius Aenaya Lucius 5'4" | PG Lincoln | 2027 NE – 2027 – 5’8 – PG – Lincoln High School
When I first walked into the gym, I had the chance of seeing Aenaya Lucius Aenaya Lucius 5'4" | PG Lincoln | 2027 NE out there competing. Lucius was being a guard that her team needed in her contests last weekend at this Expo. She was telling her teammates where they should set up offensively, she was creating for herself and others off of the dribble at a consistent rate, and she was showing off her knowledge of the game by making extra passes to open teammates and explaining concepts to others that they might not understand just yet, as it pertains to the strategy side of things. The dedication is there, the fundamentals are there, and the knowledge is there, with everything I saw Lucius should be proud and work off of this momentum moving forward into the high school season this winter.
#161 – Harper Bohaboj – 2027 – 5’5 – SG/PG – Bennington High School
Someone that is a smaller guard out there competing, that has a big game is Harper Bohaboj. Bohaboj is an all around gamer. Someone that is always trying to create for others but has the ability to score from all three levels at a pretty consistent rate herself. In this event Harper was flying all over, trying to make plays for her team in any way she could. She displays a solid handle, a consistent shooting stroke, and a good knowledge of the game from an all around perspective. I think that this next year is going to be a big for Bohaboj moving forward, as it pertains to high school ball. If she can come in this season and show that she has a great feel for the game, while producing efficiently, she is going to be seeing the varsity floor before you know it.
#163 – Alaeya Randle Alaeya Randle 5'6" | PG Omaha North | 2026 NE – 2026 – 5’6 – PG/SG – Omaha North High School
You never know what Alaeya Randle Alaeya Randle 5'6" | PG Omaha North | 2026 NE is going to give you each night. It’s either going to be a breakout performance scoring the ball, dishing out the ball, or rebounding the ball but no matter what, you always know that she is going to produce for her team in some sort of way and that is exactly what she did at this event. On a team that had the best player in Weers and some other really skilled players mixed in, Randle did a good job of making the most of her opportunities and standing out in her own way. I’m going to be around to see Randle play this season with her Omaha North high school team and I can’t wait to see what they can do. Another team with a stacked roster, is going to definitely put on a show in a lot of contests this winter.
#167 – Alijah Stabler – 2027 – 5’7 – SG/CG – Beatrice High School
Alijah Stabler knows where she wants to go with the ball. Stabler is a 5’7 SG/CG, that can do a little bit of everything for whatever team she is lacing up with. She has a good feel for live action situations throughout a contest, she is always ready to let it fly from deep off the catch, and she is pretty fundamental in everything she is doing other then that, out there on the court. There weren’t a lot of things I could say that Stabler needs to work on from this event other then what everyone in the 2027 Class needs, which is to stay dedicated. This is another player that has a good base to build on over the next few seasons. She shows a lot of intangibles that any coach at the next level would love, she just needs to keep on progressing over her high school career and she will end up in a good position looking toward the future.
#203 – Jayla Merrill Jayla Merrill 5'8" | PG Lincoln Northeast | 2025 State NE – 2025 – 5’8 – PG/CG – Lincoln Northeast High School
Jayla Merrill Jayla Merrill 5'8" | PG Lincoln Northeast | 2025 State NE has an interesting game that I am going to need to study more over the next few months. By all of my accounts, she does a lot of positive things off the floor for her team when she keeps it simple. She has a solid base with balanced footwork while playing on or off of the ball, she has size where she can move and post up smaller players if she notices that they are weaker near the basket, she is a positive influence at all times, and she gets on the floor for loose balls at every opportunity. This is just some of the stuff I saw at the Top 250-Expo. There is still much work to be done moving forward but there is also a lot of positives to take away from this event for Merrill. She should be proud of that.
#206 – Myleigh Weers Myleigh Weers 5'9" | PG Diller-Odell | 2025 State NE – 2025 – 5’8 – PG – Diller O’dell High School
My player of the day at this event was Myleigh Weers Myleigh Weers 5'9" | PG Diller-Odell | 2025 State NE . Weers was fantastic in everything she did throughout the Expo. She displayed that she was the most “put together” guard, while being a pivotal player on both sides of the floor all-day. She demonstrated a shifty but tight handle when bringing the ball down the floor, she scored from all three levels seamlessly, and she showed her tenacity on every possession. When you are watching Weers compete, you can tell her “feel” of the game is different than everyone else around. Everything just seems so effortless to her out there. It’s fun to watch now and will be at the college level one day in a few years as well.
#208 – Ayana Owens Ayana Owens 5'9" | CG Lincoln | 2025 State NE – 2025 – 5’9 – PG/SG – Lincoln High School
Ayana Owens Ayana Owens 5'9" | CG Lincoln | 2025 State NE is one of the most complete players in the 2025 Class throughout the state. Owens stands at around 5’9 with long arms and a quick first step going either direction. If she doesn’t beat her opponent with her speed and athleticism, she also displayed that she can pull out a number of different skill moves in attempts to get a bucket. Defensively, Owens has good hands with knowledge of when/where her opponent is going to put the basketball, leading to several tips and deflections for herself. All in all, Owens is a college level player. She is someone that displays a tough exterior because she is a competitor but in reality, all she wants is to see her team succeed, doesn’t matter how. Something I think we can all respect.
#229 – Charlee Jeys – 2026 – 5’9 – CG/SF – Lincoln High School
Charlee Jeys game is progressing. Someone that brings positive energy and good vision to the floor, has a lot to work with moving forward from what I saw last Sunday. She isn’t a player that is going to blow anyone any with a crazy move or anything but with fundaments and efficiency. Competing at a school like Lincoln High can be tough with how many players there are trying to make a name for themselves. I think that Jeys has a game that is translatable to the high school floor, if she keeps working at the correct things moving forward.
#231 – Lauren Carlsen Lauren Carlsen 5'10" | SF Marian Omaha | 2026 NE – 2026 – 5’11 – PF – Bennington High School
I didn’t have a chance to see Lauren Carlsen Lauren Carlsen 5'10" | SF Marian Omaha | 2026 NE until this event but when I did see her, my first thought is that there is a fundamental base here that could turn into a very good player over the next few high school seasons. Carlsen has size and some speed to mix along with it. The pace that she moves down the floor with is very impressive. She understands how to do her work early and beat her opponents to their spots on both sides of the ball. Leading to easy buckets in transition on offense near the hoop and big stops on defense because she is already in position to meet her opponent by the time they get to where they want to go. As you can tell, in my opinion the ceiling for Carlsen is high. There is no reason she can be a difference maker this winter at Bennington high school for her Sophomore year but we will have to wait and see.
