Playing up at the 17U level, Jayla served as a sparkplug for Wood Elite . Although one of the smaller players on the floor, Walton’s high IQ shined as she knew where to be at all times and routinely made plays. Jayla does a great job rotating on defense, keenly stepping in front of middle flashers to steal passes in the press. Walton converts turnovers into layups finishing with both hands.

Jayla is a speedy PG that plays defense and uses her length to come up with steals and block shots of other guards. Her crossover is mean with a quick change of direction and speed that baits the defender. She’s a good athlete that can sky for boards and get it up the floor in a hurry with the dribble or a pass ahead. Her shot from deep is solid & she can finish well with either hand on the drive.
