Mackenzie is a competitive high IQ defender that can guard on the perimeter and in the post. She doesn’t shy away from contact, a rugged player who likes the physicality of the game. Her instincts on defense stand out, quick to break up passes as an opportunistic thief. For Woodstock to have a good season, Slater must be equally as aggressive on offense. She’s a steady shooter from the corners and has a nice pull-up game from in-between. Hunting her shot whether it be on the perimeter or even on post ups must be an area of focus. If she does so, expect robust production from Mackenzie. She should be able to double her 4.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game she averaged as a sophomore.

Slater is a work horse who knows how to get to the 50/50 balls. Hustles from start to finish. Also, can step out and shoot the 3 ball but also get to the rim. A player that can do it all and take over the game if needed.
