Forest City might have fallen short in their battle this morning against DSM Christian but that’s not due to lack of effort. The biggest producer for this group was

out of the Post. Dontje wasn’t just good, she was great. In general she scored a team high 21 points on 9-13 shooting, she grabbed 13 rebounds, along with 4 steals and 1 block out of the middle. This was the source for the Indians since they only went 3-18 from behind the three point arc with their shooters. Defensively, Dontje stepped up several times to cause chaos in between the blocks. She was someone that was sitting there waiting for her opportunities to alter/deflect any type of shot attempt out of the middle and she did just that. This was Dontje’s last game of her high school career but not her basketball career in general. She will get the opportunity to show her worth for 4-5 more years at the collegiate level. As long as she continues to work moving into that situation, she should continue to get better with time/experience.

is a player anyone would want on their team for her toughness in the paint and relentlessness on the boards. A physical post presence for Forest City, Jenna ran the floor well, never quit on an offensive rebound (this included flying out of bounds in an attempt to preserve the possession), and made good decisions finishing at the rim. She kept the ball high on rebounds and also looked for cutters when she was double-teamed — she understands situations on the floor and what to do with the rock. Dontje also did a great job sealing defenders last night and pivoted strong to the basket. Averaging 11PPG and 7.5RPG this season, the senior gets her work done in the paint with perseverance and a never-quit attitude.

getting the nod to play early on in her career at Simpson once she gets on campus. Dontje is a 6’0 PF with touch, balance, footwork, and physicality. She is the type that can simply go over smaller opponent or through weaker one’s that may stand in her way on either side of the ball. I see Dontje being an enforcer with the Storm if she can find her niche early on in her collegiate career. She checks off a lot of boxes, she just needs to continue to learn her craft and work on her weaknesses, then who knows how far she might take things over the next 4-5 years.

Forest City is going to put up some big numbers and respectable wins over the next couple of years with who they have rising within their ranks. Someone out of their 2026 Class, that is seeming to get more and more attention as we move into the Fall is PF/C –

. Dontje is their force in the paint. Their bruiser and converter down-low at 6’0. This is a prospect that can score it an efficient rates in between the blocks, she can rebound on both ends, and she does her work early within the possession. As of most recently, Dontje received an offer from D3 – Coe College. A really nice offer to a program that is creating a winning culture year by year. I’m not sure where Dontje will end up when her high school career comes to close but Coe is a great option to have.

Got off to a monster start in game one with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Not knowing Jenna I continued to watch the box scores and every game she either records a double double or flirted with it Good hands and a nice shot touch being A high percentage shooter inside the paint that did not miss many opportunities in scoring. Impressive thing that I noticed that she jumps off two feet giving great balance on the shot. A good mid-range shooter that can hit the top of the key 3.
Defensively she is a wall in the paint that gives up no ground and did not make unnecessary fouls trying to block shots. Great rebounder that works for the inside position and gets off the ground to grab the board. The 2026 has several offers to continue playing at the next level.

Forest City is another group that I’ll be watching this Winter pretty closely. They return several talented players out of their area, who are all going to make an impact at the Varsity level before you know it. Someone at the C/PF position, that will be a main piece for them this season is

. Dontje comes in right at 6’0 and she is talented. She can handle her own by the hoop with her size or she can stretch things out while screening on the outside and rolling toward the bucket. This AAU season she has been doing respectable with her
Iowa United
team each contest, leading them in a lot of statistical categories here and there. This upcoming year could be a big one for everyone at Forest City if they approach it the correct way.

but you should. Dontje competes with Forest City and she almost averaged a double-double this season in points-rebounds with 10.5 PPG and 9.8 RPG. Forest City lost their main producer early on in the season due to injury but that didn’t really impact Dontje and her production in my book. They play different positions and Dontje just did what was asked of her by controlling the painted area. She was stationed down-low as one of their taller players on roster and she always does a great job of staying active from block-to-block in those area’s. This AAU season she will be lacing up with
Iowa United
once again. This is an upcoming program out of their area, that is going to have a few talented pieces come this Spring/Summer.

on the AAU floor with her
Iowa United
program following this Junior season of her’s. Dontje, a 6’0 Center/Power Forward, has that mixture of size, power, and knowledge that every coach loves to work with. With her Forest City program, Dontje is a tyrant in the middle, holding her own at an impressive rate. She seems to always know where to be in clutch moments and her willingness on the boards on both sides is a vital factor to her team’s success. I think we will see more and more from Dontje as she continues to work on her weaknesses as she moves into her senior season.
