My “Defender of the Game” would easily be handed to Lexi Isebrand Lexi Isebrand 5'7" | PG/SG Forest City | 2026 IA after her performance last night vs. Lake Mills. She’s lightning quick and reads the game at a high level, and her skills shone on both sides of the floor last night. She had the assignment of covering Lake Mills’ best player last night and took that job to heart. She finished the first half alone with four steals, and backed up this defensive prowess with excellent decision making on the offensive end. Every time Isebrand took a shot or finished a drive, I was thinking to myself, “that was a good decision.” She finished a number of tough layups with elite change of direction and flashed deep range with a smooth jumper. Isebrand brings a high basketball IQ to her team and proved herself as the senior leader Forest City needed to finish the game with a win.

Possibly among the top complete guard that I saw this weekend. She caught my attention as she just plays with a lot of bounce. Meaning she seemed to be making plays on offense and defense. A nice outside shooter from 3-point range with quick release on the catch or off the dribble. Good decisions on the paint touches making the correct reads. Looked comfortable as the point guard with good ball control and up the floor vision. A crafty scorer in the paint with a step through move or a nice reverse layup. A combo guard that is going to get you those offensive rebounds like a forward.

Understands help rotation on defense. At times even helped the helped which is a plus in my notes. As mentioned earlier an excellent rebounding guard that can get a long miss and take it coast to coast. Enjoyed watching the effort and IQ she plays with on both ends of the floor.
