Another person who makes my first team in large part because of what they do on the glass is

. Jocelynn is a great athlete, and there are not many players in the state who play with the type of motor she has. Jocelynn had a couple of huge rebounding games, one of them being against Centreville in a big-time district matchup. Jocelynn is a good finisher and can step out and make short mid-range shots. She was first team all district and second team all region, and she was paramount to Oakton’s success this season.

The championship game was the third match-up between these two teams this season, and my takeaway from every game is that Centreville does not have an answer for

. Her activity on the glass gives Centreville a world of problems. Jocelynn missed a handful of shots at the rim, but her relentlessness in getting offensive rebounds more than made up for that. She hit a mid-range jumper, and that is something that’s a nice part of her game. She had the go-ahead and 1 bucket that were the only points in overtime with about 20 seconds left.

. Jocelynn was all over the glass, and her activity on the glass helped her get to the line a few times. The play that I felt kind of sealed the game was when she got an offensive rebound up 6 with a little under a minute to go off a missed free throw. Her mix of an elite motor, great athleticism, and velcro hands makes her one of the best rebounders in NOVA. She also hit a long 2 when Chantilly was on a big run that helped Oakton settle back into the game.

Jocelynn showed that she can be just as effective against her elite peers as she has been in high school. She’s been averaging double figures in points and rebounds and most of her games she’s leading her team in both statistics. She does most of her work in the paint but her form and mid-range touch shows that she has the potential to stretch the floor beyond the arc if she chooses.

Jocelynn has been consistent all season as one of the top scorers and rebounders for the Fairfax Stars. She added a couple of double-doubles to the stat sheet and she gives the maximum effort on the court no matter the time and score.

Was a starter for Oakton and was a versatile piece for her team! A two sport star who is a good athlete that was able to consistently post doubles this season. 5’10 frame has the ability to play the wing but is more of a power forward right now. Jocelynn was able to play and defend multiple positions on defense with her athletic ability.
