Kendall, as I mentioned in a previous article, was one of the best players that I had a chance to watch especially impressive getting to and finishing at the basket. She’s an aggressive, crafty ball handler who was able to blow by closeouts, when they tried to stop her seemingly automatic jumper, with the ability to finish with either hand.

Schmitz came to camp following a solid summer with the Wisconsin Impact . The laser focused guard was quick as a hiccup with the ball in her hands. She seemed to be one step ahead when shifting the defense with pass fakes and shot fakes. Her prolific playmaking allowed for easy baskets for team 5. Be on the lookout for her this coming season as begins her Junior campaign with Manitowoc Lincoln.

Kendall impressed me as one of the better players that I watched. Aggressive, crafty ball handler who showcased her quickness to, not only blow by defenders, finishing in and through traffic, but also to knock down the mid to long-range jumper when left open. She Looks poised to build off a very strong Sophomore season where she made 2nd team All-Conference.

Schmitz is your classic guard that has major strengths in multiple areas. Her defense was the first thing that caught my eye. She gets in a perfect stance and slides her feet with both control and speed. She is the type of player you would hate to play against but would love to have on your team. Strong upside.

Kendall is unbelievably quick and handles the ball exceptionally well. She displays impressive ball-handling skills and is very reliable in bringing the ball up the court with pressure. On offense, she makes great decisions and effectively reads the defense which are ideal qualities for a point guard. Her shot is beautiful, and she poses a significant threat from beyond the arc. She shoots in rhythm which I like to see as it gives her a more consistent shot. She also takes excellent care of the basketball. Defensively, she plays fast and unshakeable. Standing at 5’3″, she plays with the confidence of someone much taller. When she switches on defense and faces a post player, she does a great job of challenging mismatches and contesting shots. In her sophomore debut, Kendall recorded 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
