Region play has been a massive help to coach Shakkia Walker and her Blue Eagles. Seven of the 13 wins Clover has earned this season have been against region opponents and Chambliss has been a key catalyst in the team’s January success. Chambliss has played in 19 games this season for Clover and has averaged 9.7 points, 3.6 steals and three rebounds per contest. When this season concludes, both she (and twin sister Jada) will bring their hoops talents to Mars Hill in western North Carolina. Chambliss is one of seven on this year’s Clover roster that is part of this year’s graduating class. The Blue Eagles were ranked 10th in the most recent 5A Division 1 coaches’ poll.

In the matchup that featured 5A Division 1 showcase host Clover and the defending champions from the same classification – Blythewood – the Blue Eagles struggled for much of the first quarter. A spark provided by Clover’s veteran star guard provided a lift to the Blue Eagles against the tough out that is the Bengals. Offensively, she possesses plenty of speed and quickness when she has the ball. Chambliss will get downhill in a short amount of time and can finish strong at the rim. Defensively, the Mars Hill commit has no problems accepting tough defensive assignments and can leave even the best of opposing ball carriers turnover-prone.

Chambliss was one of several commitments that were announced this past week. She announced via her social media that she has committed to Mars Hill in western North Carolina for her collegiate career. She received an offer from Lions coach NaJarius Green back in August. Her final time through the AAU ranks would see her wear the EA Lady Stars/Team KB Bridges uniform. Chambliss was a key reason why 5A Division 1 Clover concluded the 2024-25 season with a record of 23-3. She will be part of a veteran nucleus that should once again have coach Shakkia Walker’s Blue Eagles as contenders.

As for the other Chambliss sister at 5A Division 1 Clover, her latest offer would be of the in-state variety as Converse has her on its radar. She also was one of the many seniors that was on hand at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center at the Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Expo. Chambliss also wore the uniform of EA Lady Stars Bridges/Team KB Bridges during her final time in the travel realm. She played in all 26 games last season for the Blue Eagles and averaged 5.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 steals per contest. With Clover returning most of its team from last season, expect another stellar season from the Blue Eagles where they will be major favorites among the 5A Division 1 field.

was picking the pocket of her opponents easily pushing the tempo up the court. She runs the floor well, too, being ready for the pass in transition pushing the tempo making her opponents try to keep up. She had a nice pull up from the top of the key creating some space and making the shot.

Following a superb 23-3 season last season, coach Shakkia Walker’s 5A Division 1 Clover team is set to once again be one of the groups to beat in 2025-26 as it will fuse together talent with experience. Experience will be a hallmark of the 2025-26 version of 5A Clover. Chambliss will be one of several seasons that will be part of the roster for coach Shakkia Walker’s Blue Eagles. Chambliss, whose career, included a stint at another 5A school in Fort Mill, can be a task to contend with on defense with her ability to collect steals. She is also an effective passer who can get her teammates in positions to make plays. She is another who can make effective transition plays and finishes strong at the rim. Chambliss also has the ability to connect on her 3-point attempts.

We at Prep Girls Hoops remember Chambliss’ name from when she was recognized for her stellar work for 5A Fort Mill at the Y.C. Winborn Classic at Rock Hill HS. Chambliss has been deserving of recognition all season given she has been a primary catalyst in the Yellow Jackets’ ascent up the 5A ranks. She came off the bench in Fort Mill’s emphatic victory over 3A Broome and still led all point-getters with 13. Long range shotmaking is part of her skillset and she displays a great deal of speed. One must game plan for Chambliss as a defender as she will come in from almost nowhere and collect steals to give her team additional possessions.
