About Kennedy
Expert Analysis
Tink Butler | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kennedy made her presence felt at the Freshman Showcase with her ability to protect the rim and control the glass. She provided a defensive presence in the paint, challenging shots around the basket and securing rebounds to finish possessions. Her mobility was another noticeable strength, as she sprinted the floor with long, athletic strides and consistently kept pace with the action in transition. Kennedy also demonstrated good passing instincts out of the post, showing the ability to recognize opportunities and distribute the ball rather than forcing shots inside. Her combination of rim protection, rebounding, mobility, and passing gives her a well-rounded presence in the frontcourt, with contributions that extend beyond scoring.

Kennedy had good size and matched up well against the other post players. She also moved her feet well when drawn away from the basket, showing the ability to defend outside of the paint. Offensively, she was able to attack from both the high post and the wing and get all the way to the rim.
Defensively, Kennedy used her size and length to alter shots in the paint. She also ran the floor well without the ball, putting herself in position to be effective in transition.

Jackson’s size allowed her to compete in the paint, where she showed a nice touch when receiving the ball on the block. She also used that size to contribute on the glass and secure rebounds for her team. She showed awareness after collecting the ball, kicking it back out to an open shooter rather than forcing an opportunity inside.
