Gabby is a spark coming off the bench. She continues to take control of the high school game and speed, showing no fear playing against IAAM’s A-bracket championship quality team’s or P.G. county public school perennial contenders.

Defensively, Evans has the ability to raise the bar for Creek. Whether in the zone on the top of 1-3-1 turning the point guard to her teammates on the wing or playing the passing lanes once in Creek’s attacking full court press.

Her size doesn’t do her game any justice. She continues to score in the paint with her decisive left hand.

Ms. Evans has a good chance of becoming Indian Creek’s best on ball defender by seasons end.

Her play thus far has not gone unnoticed. In two games of fall league play Evans has been the first player off the bench as she is slowing marking her role for the Eagles.

She is a spark of energy, who is willing to defend the ball. Within two fall league games. Gabriella has been good for knocking down a deep corner three, getting at least two put backs battling in the paint, and stepping up to guard their opponents best ball handler with confidence.

Evans is a do-it-all guard who brings a well-rounded skill set to the floor. A high-IQ player, she understands positioning, spacing, and how to operate effectively from the guard position.

Additionally, Evans plays comfortably without the basketball and moves naturally within the offense. She consistently finds open space and puts herself in position for quality scoring opportunities.

More importantly, Evans showed an impressive ability to adapt to the game and her surroundings. She reads what is happening around her and adjusts without forcing the action.

Physically, Evans is a tough scorer who does not shy away from contact. When opportunities develop, she can attack downhill and use her strength to finish around the basket.

Overall, Evans combines intelligence, toughness, and versatility into a game that should translate well to the high school level.

Gabriella’s hustle and athleticism showed in the effort she gave defensively, including fighting to save the ball from going out of bounds. She created a steal and immediately pushed up the floor, keeping the defense on its heels. Instead of forcing a layup, she found a teammate for an assist and turned her defensive play into offense for her team.
