How many colleges have put an emphasis on outside shooting this season? I mean FGCU’s entire roster was listed as “shooters” rather than guards or forwards. Well Molden definitely can light it up from the 3-point line. She’ll be playing on Kentucky Premier ‘s 17U EYBL team this summer after leading the state in 3-point field goals made per game in her high school season. Molden averaged 3.3 made 3’s per game on 46.2% shooting from deep. She averaged 16.3 PPG, so she can obviously score in other ways as well, but she’s definitely one of the top shooters around. She has deep range, excellent form, and a quick release on her shot. Molden is also a high IQ player overall.

16.7 PPG. Molden has a very high basketball IQ. She can handle the ball well and she’s an excellent playmaker. However, she can obviously put the ball in the basket as well. Molden is a high level shooter who can knock them down from anywhere on the floor. She’s got excellent form and a quick release. She also makes strong fakes and can finish floaters, layups, and pull-up jumpers. Southwestern will be looking to avenge an early season loss as they open up LIT play against Bullitt East.

Molden continues to put people across the state on alert. Her basketball IQ is so high and she has so much talent. She can handle the ball well, she sees the floor and delivers great passes, and she makes plays for herself and her teammates. Molden can score at a high level and she’s already shown that against the #1 team in the state this season, scoring 19 of her team’s 33 points. She consistently scores at all 3 levels even when she’s well-defended. However, as impressive as her scoring ability is, she also contributes in many other ways for her team. Molden is a leader on the floor and she really works hard. She crashes the boards, she goes after loose balls, and she defends. Don’t be surprised to see Molden on the leaderboards for multiple statistical categories by the end of the season.

Molden is a really talented all-around player. She can light it up from deep, but she can also score inside of the perimeter through floaters, jump shots, and layups. She shot 34% from 3 last season though, so you have to really respect her ability to knock down shots. Molden can handle the ball, she’s a strong passer, and she’s tough. She averaged 14 ppg and 3.6 rpg as a freshman.

Molden is an extremely high IQ player and she flat out competes when she’s on the court. She plays so hard and she never backs down. Molden crashes the boards and gets rebounds, she defends, she makes hustle plays, and she’s vocal. She has all the skills you would want in a point guard or shooting guard, so you can put her at any guard position and she’s going to be successful. Molden handles pressure and is an excellent passer. She also has fantastic form on her shot and makes great drives to the basket. She can really put the ball in the basket at a high level. I expect Molden’s stock to just continue going up as more coaches and scouts are able to watch her play because she is going to be a star.
