As time goes on, Laila will continue to sharpen her offensive game. She can already knock down the 12 to 15 foot shot and shows decent touch around the rim. As of now, her size and length are used purposefully on the defensive end, and if you need to stop a team that lives in the paint, she’s the player you’ll want blanketing that area. Laila was an authority on the defensive end for Angels Basketball 15U. She anticipated a drive, jumped to the ball, and forced the ball-handler to turn it over. Laila protected the rim, blocking multiple shots. She knocked down an elbow jumper and finished through contact at the rim. Laila has length, strength, and a two-way presence that makes her an impact player. She had a solid first day at the Great Lakes Kickoff.
