Lane Carmichael sits just outside the top 100 at #101, and come next school season, she should have no problem breaking into a double-digit rank. Carmichael is a skilled basketball player and is also a skilled volleyball player. Some of those tools from volleyball are without a doubt translating to the defensive side in hoops.
She is a great shot blocker, and her athleticism allows her to match up and guard bigs and wings. On offense, she is a skilled inside scorer, and she can also step out and make threes at the center position.
Carmichael has a lot of versatility to her game, and with another offseason, her senior year could be her best season yet.

Lanee Carmichael Lanee Carmichael 5'10" | C Clinton | 2026 TN is really really good. She has been Clinton’s leading scorer her first two years, including games of 33 and 37 points (career high) last season. She’s turned herself into a legit 3 level scorer. She’s sneaky athletic, and manages to get more paint touches than you’d think. She’s a crafty finisher in the paint, with a lot of tricks in her bag. Can finish with either hand. Is a high level three point shooter. Has a will to defend and rebound.

Lanee Carmichael Lanee Carmichael 5'10" | C Clinton | 2026 TN showed up big time in Trotter ’26s win over Wood Elite (GA). She’s really proven herself as a reliable post scorer, and a matchup nightmare. Has a nice face up game, and lethal once she’s taking your 4 off the dribble and choose which direction to get to.

Lanee was an All-District and All-District Tournament player for the Clinton Lady Dragons as arnFreshman and District MVP and District All-Tournament Team as a Sophomore. She was thernteam’s leading scorer in both years, including games of 33 and 37 points (career high) as arnSophomore. She can score at all three levels, is a great shooter and a high percentage FTrnshooter. She can play the 2, 3, 4 positions and her greatest quality is her extremely highrnbasketball IQ. She is an absolute TEAM first player. She is a two-sport athlete that was alsornAll-District in Varsity volleyball.

Lanee continues to be special! When I read that Carmichael finished with 21 points in a district win against Union County, I was not surprised. My previous evaluation stated that I want Lanee at the end of a game. That still holds true! This one has the highest ceiling and don’t be surprised when her recruitment takes off. She has put on a great sophomore season and she isn’t finished yet!

Carmichael showed great fight in Tuesday night loss to rival AC. She seemed to flip a switch in the 2nd half in an attempt to refuse to lose. She scored 15 second half points, 10 in the fourth quarter alone—and finished with 17 on the night.

If I am a coach and my team is down 10-15 points in the 4th quarter, I want Lanee on my team! Clinton came up short tonight, but I am still picking Lanee! She truly helped her team claw their way back from a deficit! You’ve heard us talk a lot about Lanee now and you will continue to hear her name. She has one of the highest ceilings! Carmicheal put on an impressive 4th quarter clinic. One of my favorite quotes by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is, “You won’t win until you learn how to lose.” Clinton’s entire team will use this loss as a learning experience, and they will continue to be successful! Keep your eyes on this young athlete and the entire Clinton team!

Carmichael is just a winner. Simply watch her play….she blocks out the noise…she only focuses on winning. She couldn’t care any less about her stats or accolades, and when you do that…you play the right way….and you have a great skill set to combine with it….the stats will take care of themselves!
On a much improved Clinton HS team, Carmichael just keeps on doing it! She recently 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals in a huge win over Scott Co. And those are modest numbers for Carmichael after she continues to lead this much improved Lady Dragons squad after last year’s 16-15 record.
Vs Gibbs, Clinton won again advancing to 15-4, Carmichael finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Again….you see her fingerprints all over the stat sheet.

Carmichael is averaging a double double at 16 points and 10 rebounds for Clinton. The sophomore PF/Post has been a symbol for consistency and competitiveness for this Clinton team. You know what you’re getting every time Carmichael steps on the floor.
She also scored a career high 37 points and hit 7 threes in a recent trip to Florida. She’s as legit as they come.

It is not easy to get a double-double in a basketball game. It is not easy to get numerous double-doubles. Well, Lanee Carmichael Lanee Carmichael 5'10" | C Clinton | 2026 TN makes it look easy! This young athlete is averaging a double-double. Lanee is right at 16 points & 10 rebounds per game. The entire Clinton squad continues to impress but give credit to Lanee for getting on the boards and finishing! Call this one a stock-riser because her stock is increasing extremely fast!
