One of the smoothest ball handlers in the state, Lexi has a many gears to her game. Shes shifty, quick, fast and aggressive.. but i think her ability and confidence behind the line will be the first to translate to NIU next season. The form is fluid, quick and has a consistency to it as well. Off the dribble, off the catch or a simple spot up shot.. Lexi has the ability to be a sharp shooter in the MAC.

comes out of the state of Illinois to play for the Attack. Carlsen is a Northern Illinois WBB commit, with a nice handle and speedy game-style. She does the best with the ball in her hands while orchestrating the offense at an elite pace. When she catches at the three point line, she is always ready to let it fly. I think that Carlsen could really put together a great senior season and make some waves at NIU. She just needs to stay herself on the floor and have confidence in her work. Something everyone could do a little better of out there playing at a young age right now.

The Northern Illinois University commit was exceptional at her perimeter shooting against DME Travel where she led all scorers with 14 points on four made 3-pointers. Carlsen also dished out some solid assists to teammate Alli Tanke throughout the day and weekend at the Sunshine State Showdown. Carlsen also got it done on the defensive end as well where she was jumping into the passing lanes getting steals as well.

Scoring a game-high 21 points in her second game of the tournament, Carlsen showed her ability to score from beyond the three-point line as well as in the lane with nifty takes to the hoop. Lexi is a valuable two-way player who always gives maximum effort and displays a high IQ consistently.
