, the U of Wisconsin-Parkside basketball commit, put together a promising year leading into her freshman season of college ball. Petersen is solid forward with the ability to get up and down the floor in a hurry. She does a fantastic job rim-running from both sides of the floor, leading to early and easy baskets for herself and for others. Along with her fantastic footwork in the post and her ability to score through contact, she also gets it done on defense. She can switch onto most players while being savvy enough to know when to hard-hedge or switch on a screening situation, not to mention her ability to find where the ball will be put up by her opponent and getting a deflection. At the next level she is going to be a lot of handle for defenses. Once a college coach works with her on some small tips and tricks to make things easier on her in the post, she will excel.

came into this season ranked as the #1 center in the senior class and she has been showing us why thus far. Petersen is playing extremely efficiently while averaging 13.6 PPG and 13.1 RPG for her Bettendorf high school team. During games she has been working hard to let everyone see her presence inside the lane while being able to get up and down the floor with good pace for her size. When it comes to scoring the ball this season she would be defined as efficient, like I mentioned above. Currently she is scoring the ball at a 43% rate overall, 44% from three, and 72% from the line when she gets fouled. Right now the Bettendorf Bulldogs are sitting around .500 and looking to make some lean-way coming out of break. I’m sure that if Petersen keeps being consistent in the middle and her teammates work off of her that they will be able to find some success before this season is over.

comes into the rankings this season as the #1 power forward in the 2023 class. Petersen is an athletic forward who moves well off the ball as well as knowing when to screen and roll toward the hoop. She is a strong athlete with a soft touch. She really displays an impressive feel for the ball when it’s in her possession. After having a great summer with her Quad City Shockers AAU team, Petersen committed to University of Wisconsin-Parkside to continue her basketball career after high school. She plans to nothing less than to get to the college level and make a instant impact for her squad but until then all eyes will be on her as the season gets under way for Bettendorf high school. As a team they can only go as far as she can lead them and she plans to lead them all the way to a state championship.

didn’t really get all the appreciation she deserved for how well she played last season for Bettendorf High School. Petersen, a forward and center combo, does it all for her team in the post when she is on the floor. She is a fundamental rebounder with a very high motor accompanied with high energy. She can spread the floor out and move on the outside of the perimeter as well as working around in the post on either block. This season will be a real test of how far Petersen can take her high school team as she looks to return as the big presence she was last winter. During the summer Petersen brought in a good amount of high college interest while playing for her Quad City Shockers teams on the AAU circuit. She will strive to be as productive this season in hopes of taking her team on a journey for a state championship.

will look to return as one of the top forwards in the state for her senior year as she comes back to Bettendorf High School for one more go around. Petersen, an athletic forward with fundamental footwork, dominated her competition on the AAU level with her Quad Cities Shockers team each week this summer and she especially showed out at Nike TOC in Chicago. Showing off her skill in the post rebounding and scoring at all three levels, this brought a lot of interest to Petersen as she played her game. She will be put in the position of having a great season with the only thing being able to slow her down being herself. With the post moves that she obtains, mixed with the footwork, IQ, and physicality to finish through contact, she should dominate her competition once again in hopes of making a big run once playoffs are around.

Petersen returns to Bettendorf high school as one of the top leading rebounders in the state while also averaging just over 15 PPG as a junior. After having a great AAU summer with a loaded Quad City Shockers team Lillie has received interest from several colleges at all levels. Along with her rebounding and scoring the thing I think is most impressive is her defense. Being able to guard the 4 or 5 on any team and being able to switch onto a 2/3 guard in pick & roll situations I can see why she is getting so much attention. I will be curious where she ends up committing to but am excited to see!
