Lola is a very impressive young guard with a bright future ahead of her. Despite being only a rising sophomore, she plays with a maturity and toughness that stands out immediately. A scrappy defender, Lola consistently makes life difficult for opposing guards with her relentless effort, strong instincts, and willingness to compete on every possession.

She possesses good strength and athleticism for her age, along with solid ball skills and a high basketball IQ. What makes Lola especially valuable is that she doesn’t need to score to impact the game. She finds ways to contribute through her defense, hustle plays, rebounding, and ability to create opportunities for her teammates. Her energy is contagious, and she brings a level of intensity that can change the momentum of a game.

Lola’s defensive presence and team-first mentality make her a player coaches love to have on the floor. With continued development, she has the tools to become a highly productive two-way player. The upside is significant, and she is undoubtedly a prospect to keep a close eye on in the coming years.

Lola is a consistent perimeter threat who knocks down three-pointers at a high rate. She creates space well with moves such as side steps and is capable of pulling up from mid-range or beyond the arc. Whether shooting off the catch or off the dribble, she remains a dangerous scoring option. Lola also moves well without the ball and frequently makes backdoor cuts that lead to easy baskets.

Burrell contributes on both ends of the floor and is always aware of where the ball is, whether she’s squaring up for a three or anticipating a pass. She shows great athleticism and speed in collecting steals and handling it all the way for a fast break layup. She knows how to maneuver through traffic in her ability to score at all levels.

Burrell consistently impacted the game on both ends of the floor with her pace, defensive instincts, and ability to make timely plays for Fairfax Stars. In wins over Loudoun FLEXX and Team Durant , Burrell thrived in transition with fast break finishes, made smart backdoor cuts for layups, and knocked down clutch baskets, including a key three-pointer and late free throws to help close out the game. She also stood out defensively with active hands, forced turnovers, strong rebounding effort, and impressive patience offensively as she attacked gaps, drew defenders, and created opportunities for teammates.

Lola has a variety of things that she is doing well. She had seven steals against Cal Stars, she had eight rebounds versus the LeGynds, She had six rebounds in the matchup against Sports City and then there are the fourteen points against the Alabama Southern Starz. She did something special in each game in Phoenix, if she puts everything together consistently, her stat lines will be ridiculous. She has proven that she can do pretty much everything on the floor and is definitely a player we wan to keep a close eye on.

Burrell is an efficient combo guard who contributes on both ends with scoring and defense. She shoots well from the perimeter and moves effectively without the ball. Her versatility and consistency make her a valuable piece for any lineup.

Lola is a combo guard who has all the traits to take that next leap to the next level and make an impact at both ends of the floor. Consistent player that is an efficient scorer with a solid perimeter and three point shot. Really good athlete at is a good on ball defender that can defend against taller players on the wing. She will be a big help for her high school team and should play major minutes this season.

Played at a high level at the camp! A guard that looks like a point but has high level combo guard skills! Fast off the dribble and was able to finish at the basket with ease. Shot the ball well and is able to get her own shot from three point land.

Lola Burrell Lola Burrell 5'5" | CG/PG The Potomac School | 2029 State VA is a great fit for this Potomac School team, and I think she will make an impact on this team sooner rather than later. Lola is a terrific spot-up shooter and a committed defender. Lola did a good job moving without the ball to get easy buckets, and her defense helped get easy buckets in transition. Lola is a great plug-and-play player and is a terrific role player. 

Lola knocked down the three and was good driving and finishing in transition. She kept her head up with the dribble making good the right play when attacking.
