I’d gotten familiar with Lueken through my work at Prep Dig. She shined in volleyball as a bouncy pin with a heavy swing and a good feel for the sport. Lueken looked just as comfortable on the basketball court when seeing her compete against Iowa City High in mid-January. She’s a three-level scorer capable of stretching the floor or exploding off of the bounce. Lueken keeps the ball moving but attacks when recognizing an opportunity. A sound rebounder on both ends, the junior might shine the most on defense, where she accepts tough assignments and locks up the opponent.

has a long was to go but she is a name out of this 2027 Class to jot down from Wahlert Catholic. Lueken was the team’s sniper this season from behind the three point line. She didn’t start any contests because of the impressive guard play they possess but she came in and shot it at a 26% rate, 29% coming from the three point line off of the catch-and-shoot game. Over the years I’m sure that Lueken will continue to work on this efficiency from the floor, while also expanding her game. If she can do that, she is has a lot of promise looking onward.
