Smith is one of those players who has consistently shown me she can score from a variety of ways, see evaluations here, and since I caught her in middle school initially, I have seen her add more to her skillset, and remember, it’s all about “on the court” progression. The slight HEZ has always worked, but seeing her attack stronger with her first step and finish looked good

Smith had me drop that#D1Lock on her in the 7th grade, but seeing her” on the court” progression over the years, and showing that she is a leader, has been great, plus she still has upside, see evaluations here

Smith had me drop that #D1Lock on her in the 7th grade, and she’s made tons of my Tip Sheets, including the one from here last year see evaluations here. She’s heady, she stays calm, and she thinks the game, on both ends, and her being able to score multiple ways, in the flow, or just taking over, is always a joy for me to see

Smith handles the ball smoothly under pressure, and her decision making places her in that “heady” category because she does a good job setting the defender up using a deceptive first step to attack and score or dish, yet her mid to long-range was also clicking, so was her defensive pressure

Smith is doing things ahead of her years, instinctively, and watching her HEZ coupled with exploding and staying under control to finish off balance had me rewind a couple of times. She continues to show she can score from outside while being defended and her court vision was solid

Smith had me drop that coveted #D1Lock on her the first time I saw her play and she’s one of the top prospects in Texas, right now, I don’t FABRICATE. I don’t even take notes on her anymore, it’s embedded in my head and all I look for is progression so seeing her pay both the 1 and 2 effectively was nice, her court vision in transition has shot up plus she’s reading the floor defensively stronger

#8-Smith is another player whose “ceiling has no roof” and let me say this, she’s one of those gifted players who can score in the flow or take over a game and score in droves. I caught her playing up 3 years ago, she showed signs even then see evaluation here yet a couple of years later, I saw the GROWTH see evaluation here Her poise under pressure at an early age was well beyond her years and she is one of the top young clutch performers in the state because she wants the ball down the stretch and continues to show she can deliver

Smith is the lone freshman in this article. She is extremely polished and poised, for not just a freshman but any player. She uses a tight crossover to get in gaps as she has the ball on a string and is very comfortable getting teammates involved. But when she switches to attack mode and looks for her own finish it is evident. She is able to finish through contact, and boasts a very developed high off the glass floater. Plays great off the ball as well, and has a synergy with teammate

Smith is also playing up and you would never know without the help of a roster yet she has been on my radar for quite some time and I think I dropped the #D1Lock the first time I saw her, if it wasn’t the first, it was the second. I love how she wants the ball under pressure yet even more importantly is that she delivers. The jumper is smooth, mid to long-range and with a hand in her face, she drops it effortlessly yet her attacking to score or dish makes her a threat, especially since her court vision in transitions is also good, so is her “on the ball” defense

Smith is a talented guard that understands the importance of using her athleticism on both ends. She’s heady and crafty with the ball so her deceptive first step to attack off the dribble is important, not only because of her body control after contact but it gives her options that keep the defender guessing because she can drop it from mid to long-range. She’s poised under pressure, doesn’t mind having the ball in clutch situation and she deliver by scoring or making the right pass for assist opportunities
