Kassebaum controls tempo as a PG, she has an uncanny ability to create at a high rate for others off of the attack, she defends her position really well with a high motor, and she never seems to give up on a play or her team – no matter the situation. For this being a pass first PG in a lot of ways, Kassebaum just reached over the 1,000 career point mark. A goal that I’m sure she is proud of but not satisfied with. At this point in the process of recruitment, this is someone with options to compete at almost every division level following this next month so now it all comes down to where she wants to be located. I’m not sure where her final destination is going to be just yet but I’m sure she is weighing all of her options at this time.

Kassebaum is a prospect that has had some D1/high D2 interest the past couple of months and she has been showing everyone lately why that is. In her team’s big victory against Pius X a few days ago, Kassebaum scored 15 points and dished out a bunch of assists. To put it in perspective, her team as a whole had 8 assists during the contest and she recorded 5 of them. This is someone that can control pace of play, she can be the scoring guard that her team needs, and she makes good choices with the basketball a majority of the time. When you pair those three things together, you usually see success in some form and that’s what we have in this case.

Kassebaum is a crafty PG, that understands how to trick her opponent with simple concepts. Whenever she is going toward the rim, she knows to create contact first while attacking the paint, looking for a chance at the line or an AND1 opportunity. This is someone that can handle her own matchups under pressure with the basketball in her possession, usually beating her first defender with ease and getting into the teeth of the defense. So far Lincoln Christian is undefeated at 8-0 and they are ready to keep that momentum rolling into the 2025 calendar year.
