Nelson has been a name coaches have been raving about for quite some time, and when you see her in person it’s easy to understand why. She’s able to do whatever is asked of her, no matter the role. She can impact the scoring column, she’s tough on the defensive end, and her length allows her to make plays all over the floor, often creating mismatches for her defender.

Not too many kids can hang their hats on defense, but Nelson has shown that countless times over the summer. However, she can hold her own on the offensive side of the ball as well. She’s not the flashiest or the craftiest, but she gets the job done with what she has. That shows that she can succeed in multiple roles if needed. Whitney Young is home to some of the best guards to ever lace up, and Nelson has a chance to put her name in those books.
