It’s been impressive the AAU seasons that Mykaela Vincent Mykaela Vincent 6'0" | SF Pella | 2027 IA has put together this Spring/Summer season. Vincent has size at 6’0 to score over smaller defenders, she has touch and countermoves to adapt in tight situations, and she understands where the ball is going to come off on rebounds on both ends – something that plays to her advantage at an impressive rate. She has a lot of fundamentals in her game overall and that helps her compete with a versatile “bag” on the offensive end. This weekend Vincent did work in the paint and I can’t wait to see how she follows that up this Winter at Pella High School.

Mykaela Vincent Mykaela Vincent 6'0" | SF Pella | 2027 IA is another young up-and-coming forward that has her best basketball ahead of her. The reserve for Pella is averaging 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds so far this year on an experienced, ninth-ranked squad. Vincent is fundamental around the rim, finishes off two feet on either side of the rim, and runs the floor well. She’s also finishing at a very efficient clip — 54.1%. Defensively she’s not afraid to switch out on guards and really uses her length well to disrupt passing lanes. At 6’1,” Vincent also does well to help in the paint and pick off lob passes over the top.

I haven’t had a chance to see Mykaela Vincent Mykaela Vincent 6'0" | SF Pella | 2027 IA preform live yet but from all the video I am watching and talking to some of her coaches, it wouldn’t surprise me if she had a break out year this next 12 months on the hardwood. Vincent is new to our system but she isn’t new to Iowa high school basketball. She is a prospect that stands at around 6’0 and she plays some solid ball for her size/position. She understands her advantages, her athletic ability, and what she does best on the basketball court. Not to mention, for the most part she doesn’t force any action. If she has a good look at the rim, she can finish through contact or she can simply go over smaller defenders that might stand in her way. We will be hearing more about Vincent this next month with our new 2027 Player Rankings Update for the 2027 Class coming out in a few weeks. Until then I’m sure she will light it up during school ball, showing her improvement from a year ago.
