About Nadia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I thrive best in a fast paced environment but can adapt to moving the ball around for a better look. I am explosive and can get downhill for a shot or kick out to a teammate for a better look!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe that the best outlook on a loss or even a win is that growth can take place when either situation occurs.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Student Council and Discovery

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership- Mini hoopers: K-2nd grade camp teaching kids how to play basketball. Teamwork- Playing on several different teams and learning playing styles and how to deal with adversity in tough situations.

What type of college are you looking for?

What I look for in a college is a good environment, and a productive place for growth and development. I see myself somewhere where the health of a player is prioritized. I feel that a school I would succeed at most would be somewhere that has a good reputation in college basketball with a great family like community.

There are opportunities for everyone at the Freshman Showcase but these events are perfect for prospects like Nadia. We had watched her a little this summer but on Sunday morning, facing some of Minnesota’s top 9th graders, it quickly became obvious that Adedokun has the raw material to be a top 50 prospect. She’s tall and long and athletic, with natural instincts, innate quickness and the type of explosiveness you simply can teach. Right now she’s as green as grass. Having just turned 14, with very limited basketball experience, Nadia has a long way to go in skill development, but she showed the ability to do things most players cannot. We suspect there are big things ahead.
