About Regan
Expert Analysis
Tony Ragulen | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
When her feet are set, Hemberger might be one of the best three-point shooters in the state. Her shot is pure – even her misses were either long or short, but always on line. She played with patience, moved the ball quickly, and consistently relocated to stay ready when her number was called. Opposing teams will soon learn they have to account for her at all times, or she’ll make them pay. Defensively, she competed with the same intensity, showing she’s not just a threat on one end of the floor.

Regan has been making headlines regularly since Christmas up at The Hive in Perham thanks to a series of aerial assaults that set the standard for three-point shooting this season. The 5’5 combo guard is a practice machine, a dedicated workhorse who shoots and shoots and shoots some more. The grind is paying off. Hemberger averaged a dozen points per game as a freshman while shooting north of 45% from three. She’s not the biggest or the fastest or the strongest prospect in the Class of 2028, but she definitely knows how to leave her fingerprints on the outcome.

The 5’5 guard from Perham had a good day at the Freshman Showcase. Regan was a consistent presence on the defensive end and a 3-point shooting threat all day long. While she doesn’t need much time or space to get a shot off, Hemberger was careful in her shot selection and did not pass up an open look. Her shot has textbook mechanics with a smooth, high-arcing release. She also demonstrated her ability to play multiple positions in the backcourt, both on and off the ball. Regan spent this last AAU season with West Central United ‘s strong 2028 team, a cohesive group that found lots of success over the summer.
