do her thing. She plays with intent, intensity, and a lot of heart. This past season her AC High School program made the 5A State Tournament, which was a pretty big upset for the Jaguars but this just speaks to what they should be able to do as a whole over the next couple of years. They will have prospects like Sandoval consistently coming up to compete at the next level so there is a lot of hope that they keep things rolling and build off of the foundation they set in place over the last few months. As it pertains to Sandoval individually, I’m sure she is going to standout on the road again this AAU season with her Play4Him program. She was one of their best prospects last Spring and I don’t expect that to change much this Spring either.

as the PG of the future for Ankeny Centennial High School depending on her development. Sandoval would be categorized as a smaller PG but she holds her own. She understands as a creator that she has to be craft with her footwork and overall game-play depending on the situation. Sandoval is a leader when she is bringing the rock down the floor. She can run offense, she can move around and get her players set up, all while being someone that can make something happen herself when her team’s system might break down. There is a lot to like here. If Sandoval keeps progressing over-time, we are sure to see her on the Varsity floor sooner, rather than later!

should play up at the Sophomore/JV level this Winter with the Jaguars of Ankeny Centennial. Sandoval, who is a great leader and crafty PG, is going to be able to lead whatever group she is on the floor with. She competes with great pace of play and she really understands how to control the tempo of the contest. Defensively, she gets after it. She is determined in getting consistent stops on the opponent in front of her and that is noticeable. It’s going to be a process but I like Sandoval as a hooper. She does great things for her age level and she has a smart head on her shoulders. Something that is going to take her a long ways in this sport.

. Sandoval is a 5’4 guard, that is a mix between a 1 and 2 at this time because of her versatile playmaking ability with the rock in her possession. This weekend Sandoval showed out in each game she played. She averaged around 20 PPG throughout and she made clutch plays to help her team get some W’s. Quite literally. In one instance, Sandoval hit a 3 from deep to force overtime at the end of regulation and that led to her team eventually winning the contest in double OT. This is a guard who is very skilled in what she is doing out on the hardwood and she has a smart head on her shoulders. Those two things are going to take her places in the long run.
