We have actually mentioned HH a few times the last couple of months because of her play on the JR. EYBL Circuit on the road. Health is going to be someone that can step up and into any role from the SG/CG position at AC this Winter. She has good size at 5’9/5’10, she possesses natural skill off of the ball, she doesn’t need the ball in her hands to produce in a short amount of time, she is really good in her movement when things become cluttered around her, and she has a calm demeanor in big moments. AC will return a few other’s that can HOOP this season so we will see how everyone mashes together when the time finally comes. If they click properly, they might be able to win some big contests over the next twelve months.

The other hooper that has been showing her worth at a high rate the last few days is Harlow Heath of AIA 14U Jr EYBL. Heath has been able to produce off of the production of others. Opposing teams think that this AIA team only has one dominant guard but they actually have multiple and when people don’t notice that early on, it usually turns into a blood bath. We have seen Heath step up on multiple occasions all season long and she was on another level this weekend in the desert to kick off an important moth of July. She hit shots, she got to the bucket, she assisted others, and she was a tyrant on defense when she needed to be. All in all, this group is loaded to the brim with talent and one of their best this season has undoubtably been Health.

Would not be shocked if Harlow Heath is seeing some playing time at the Varsity level this Winter for Ankeny Centennial. Even though this team went to State last season, Health is lengthy and talented enough to make an impact on either side of the ball if she gets the opportunity. Sometimes she gets shadowed off her EYBL team because it is stacked but when she gets on the Varsity floor this Winter, she might turn out to be a valid option for the Jaguars as the season unfolds. She produces off the ball at a better than average rate and anyone who can do that, knock down shoots, and defend, should be able to produce at the highest level within this state but we will just have to see how it plays out.
