About Novea

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a long range shooter with a good driving ability. Good handles and scrappy defensively. Hustles for the ball. I’m a high IQ basketball player that understands the ebb and flow of the game. I like to make the right reads and I get a lot of Assist. It also gives me a chance to play on and off the ball. I’m very athletic so I can make a lot of things happen on both ends of the court

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have been named captain of my high school basketball team as a junior.I am a great leader with a winning mentality. I am willing to put my body on the line. Whatever needs to be done to win basketball games some games I know I have to score a lot of games. I know that I have to distribute the ball and play crazy defense and get run outs other games. I’m amazing from the 3.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am on 17U City Elite Sparks Puma NXTPRO

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Sometimes I think it’s just knowing that you’re a good person and being a good person. Putting yourself out there on and off the court I have a side job at Culver’s amongst all of my travels to keep myself disciplined to make sure that I work hard. I’m a leader at work and I’m the captain of our high school basketball team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, most definitely. I think every game is a challenge in its own way whether you’re fighting with yourself or the other team not figuratively but in a very intense in serious manner each game, you have to be adaptable and a veritable chameleon on both ends of the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

One that is going to focus on academics, improving my skill set in basketball, and making sure that there are enough morals to wear. It’s a mutual fit and they get the best version of myself, and I feel comfortable enough to take the next step to be the next Really good high school player

Novea is an extremely long, wiry, fluid, and somewhat smooth athlete. Her length makes her look a lot taller, but she plays a lot taller as well. A couple of years ago, I felt like she was more of a point guard who could shoot/score it, but after watching her again this June/July, I feel like she might be better working as a ‘2’ who can also slide over and play some point when necessary. She has gotten better off the bounce and shot it better from the perimeter than she had during the school season. I also love her length defensively.
