Nuray’s varsity debut was heavily anticipated after her MVP performance at the Headliners last winter and continual success at elite camps during the summer. She played her first game for Big Rapids on Monday and scored a game-high 13 points, helping her team earn an opening night victory. Nuray caused turnovers on defense at the top of the diamond with her pressure and scored several transition layups on run-outs. Nuray caused a foul by leaping up to secure consecutive offensive rebounds and split defenders with her dribble to score a speedy layup.
