Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Nylah was a force in the paint for Fraser during their Regional Final win. She rotated from the help side to force misses and had many blocks in front of the rim. Her length and shot blocking helped protect the lead, while forcing the opponent to attempt perimeter jumpers. Nylah pivoted to finish a contested layup, scored putbacks, and secured several rebounds. Nylah pivoted to get the scoring angle, then scored a strong-and one through contact. She completed the three-point play at the line and poured in 11 points for Fraser.

Nylah recorded her first career triple-double last week during Fraser’s 54-42 win at Grosse Pointe South. She scored 16 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, and blocked 10 shots. With her size, strength, high motor, athleticism, and skill, this won’t be the last triple-double of Nylah’s career.

Nylah is Michigan’s top post prospect right now, and she’s provided plenty of evidence to support that statement for months. Nylah has athleticism, strength, power, and a high motor on both ends of the court that make her a dominant force. She keeps growing in stature and skill. Nylah’s progression as a finisher and ability to make difficult adjustments to catch entry passes impressed me at the Freshman Showcase. She earned All-Showcase First Team and MVP honors at the event. Nylah has an offer from BGSU and Wayne State on the table. Spoiler alert, there’s more coming her way. Nylah will be the best forward in the MAC and will take Fraser up a level this winter.

Nylah picked up her first D1 offer from Bowling Green State University this week, and she certainly has that trajectory with four years of high school basketball still ahead. Nylah is the perfect complement to Fraser’s guards. She battled to score offensive rebound putbacks, finished layups off two feet, and wrestled for 50/50 balls. Most posts force shots, and Nylah did the opposite. She dished a dump-off assist and made smart kickout passes when the defense doubled her in the paint. Nylah had another solid showing at The Compound and is going to be exciting to watch with Fraser’s upperclassmen this season.

Nylah grabbed my attention as an 8th grader with a dominant performance against high schoolers at The Compound Fall League last October. She’s continued to prove her merit as one of the top post prospects in the 2029 class this spring. Nylah protects the rim, finishes through contact in the paint, uses her length to deflect passes, and makes the effort plays. Nylah has the height, athleticism, and high motor to be a force for Fraser on day one.

Nylah provided end-of-game heroics for Michigan Storm Elite 2029 as she caught an inbounds pass and powered through contact to score a buzzer beater and-one layup off the glass. Nylah faced off with Michigan’s top 2028 forward prospect and held her own. She worked hard to secure multiple offensive rebounds and score putbacks, including a strong and-one finish plus the free throw. Nyla deflected a pass and hit the deck to secure the steal. Nylah’s height, athleticism, work ethic, and hustle make her a special prospect. Her ceiling will keep expanding as her fundamentals develop in the coming years.
