has put together an impressive season, showing her versatility and basketball IQ in multiple roles. She has been effective when asked to run the point, displaying poise as a ball handler and making sound decisions to keep the offense organized.
When playing off the ball, Jones does a great job of getting to her spots on the floor, using her footwork and feel for the game to create quality scoring opportunities. She is comfortable knocking down perimeter shots and is also aggressive attacking the rim, where she can finish or draw contact. Her ability to impact the game in different ways has made her a reliable and valuable piece throughout the season.

is continuing to grow into her own as a player, and that development was evident this past summer with both her AAU and high school teams. She understands her role within her squads but has taken major strides as a scorer, which has led to success not only for herself but also for her teams. Jones has the tools to be a reliable shot-maker while also rebounding well for her position, giving her an added edge on both ends of the floor. Last season, she was Pendleton Heights’ third-leading scorer at 7.5 points per game, and with the graduation of standout Kaycie Warfel, Jones is expected to step up alongside Adah HupferAdahHupfer

. Together, they have Pendleton Heights positioned to make another run at a sectional championship.
I have spoken about Olivia a number of times this Spring, and deservingly so. She quietly goes to work, plays with an outstanding motor, and often gives her body up for the success of the team. Additionally, she is fast, bouncy, and relentless pursuing rebounds, finishing at the basket, and defending wings & guards. She is an elite small college prospect who can help even the best teams win at that level.
I know I’ve mentioned Olivia a few times this Spring, but it’s really hard not to mention someone when they continuously affect games because of their effort and toughness. This time, however, I want to point to Olivia’s versatility. She has really nice length, wiry strength, and she’s a solid all-around athlete. I feel like she continues to improve her skillset and can play multiple positions at both ends of the floor. She can score it inside and out, and she will defend guards or forwards.
I feel like I’ve written quite a bit about Olivia over the past 5 to 6 months, but with a kid who plays so hard all the time and always seems to produce in some capacity, it’s hard not to mention her. Keep in mind, she is playing “up” with her Indiana’s Best
team, but she is impactful at both ends of the floor. Defensively, she is gritty, tough-nosed, and she will do everything from defend the ball to get inside and rebound against the post players. Offensively, she is still more of a driver, but her handle and jump-shot are improving, and I think that part of her game will round out over time.
Olivia is an absolute scrapper. She is one of those kids who does so many of the things you can’t quantify with metrics, that once you factor in her being a nice athlete with length, speed, and some bounce, she could be an outstanding small college recruit at some point. She always plays hard, competes, and doesn’t mind contact one bit. She will get inside and rebound among the “bigs”, she will defend bigger players when necessary, and she can score the ball a little bit at all three levels. She is also versatile enough that she could probably play any of about three positions.
If there is one thing that stands out about Olivia in every game I have seen, it’s that she is going to give it all she has every possession, win or lose. She is a nice athlete, she has length, and she has a wiry-strong build to her. Olivia plays with a quiet toughness, she’ll battle for boards, take charges, and dive on loose balls, and she does it all with the same focused expression. Defensively, she can take on bigger guards and wings, and she won’t shy away from a switch to a forward. Offensively, she will show the same versatility, from playing in the mid-post to around the perimeter.
