Thier is a hard-nosed, two-way guard that seems to fill in the gaps wherever the team needs her. That’s accomplished with a broad base of skills. A good handle helps break down defenses whether initiating the action or when there’s a mismatch to be exploited off of the bounce. Thier showed last season in a more limited role that she can knocked down treys. That should be a place to stress defenses this season as she’ll get open looks based on team composition. Thier’s growth on offense would complement her versatility and effectiveness as a defender.
