is in the conversation for the best overall tournament by a North Polk player this last week. Aagard came into each contest and did exactly what was asked of her. A perfect example is in the 4A Championship when she recorded a stat line of 17 points (7-13), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 turnovers, while also going 3-4 from the charity stripe against CR – Xavier. All 17 points came at the rim either on the roll from a screen or just off of post-up action on the block. On both occasions it was just really efficient action because Aagard kept it simple. It’s also important to note that this is someone who was a menace this past week defensively. She was protecting the lane at high and thorough rates, being something that the opponents had to consistent think about with her reach. Both of those things together combines for a week to remember out of the senior Power Forward.

was the X-Factor in this one because of her ability to defend the paint and near the hoop. Aagard also scored with her minimal opportunities but where she stood out was when she was blocking the rim. She finished setting a State Tournament record with 9 blocks, getting stop after stop against anyone daring enough to take it to the rim. You’d think after awhile that people would switch some things up after this happens but not today. Aagard was a constant annoyance in the middle and that helped this team bring home the W in the end.

North Polk returns as a favorite in their Class to bring home the State Title. If they want to accomplish that, their post prospect

is going to have to play well. Really, really, really well. Against Dowling Catholic the other night, Aagard played really well inside the paint against a future D1 prospect in

. In the end, I would say that Aagard held her own and impressed most that were spectating. If she continues up with this production and everyone else can continue to step up, they are going to be the team to beat this Winter in the 4A Class.

The highest ranking uncommitted prospect out of the 2025 Class in Iowa comes to us in the form of Forward,

of North Polk High School. The past three seasons, Aagard has received interest from every collegiate level so it’s still a mystery as to where she might end up but whoever gets her in the end is getting someone that could build on her play-style at the next level with her height at 6’2. Over the years, she has proven that she is a lefty, that is dominant on that side of the bucket offensively. As long as she can work on expanding her game to both sides of the basket and she is put in favorable spots, she should see some success. No matter what level she may end up coming at, at the end of the day.

has had her up’s and down’s the past couple of months but I’m sure she is going to find her home at the next level sooner than later. Aagard is 6’2 Forward, with some nice touch around the rim. She is a lefty that is lethal on her strong side of the hoop, while being pretty solid with her right as well. This next year she is going to have a chance to bring home a State Title with her Comets team. If she can work on her weaknesses this Fall leading up into their season, they are going to be very hard to beat during the 2024-2025 calendar year.

of North Polk High School. Aagard is someone that has received a lot of interest from the collegiate levels this Spring AAU Season because of her mixture of size and efficiency. She has been proving that she can move really well for her height, she can score in a number of different ways through contact, and she understands the game of basketball in a situational sense. I think that she will eventually end up going D2 to compete following her high school career but that is still up in the air. She has the interest, now she just has to find the right fit for herself.

has been playing the best basketball of her high school career. Aagard is a 6’3 Post, who has demonstrated that she can be lethal on either side of the basket with either hand at any moment. She has been someone that has been putting up big numbers in the scoring, rebounding, and blocking departments on the game this past six months. All of this success has generated a lot of interest in her play-style and her future on the court. If she continues on this level pace, the offers will continue to flow in moving forward.

of Pure Prep AAU did a great job of standing out, both metaphorically and quite literally. Aagard is a 6’2-6’3 Post and she has been displaying a ton of skill this AAU season. Like I’ve said in the past high school season, Aagard was alright in her team’s contests but what she has shown so far this Spring has been special. She is demonstrating her worth at a high-rate, scoring at the rim in every way imaginable, and using her size to her advantage every chance she gets. This past weekend she produced at a high-rate overall. She demonstrated that she can score with her back to the basket, especially going over her left shoulder. She did a great job of passing in the high-low game that her team’s offense set up for easy looks, and she defended better than most. Not to mention, she was getting her hands on a ton of tips/deflections because of her mixture of reach and athletic ability. I’m not sure where she is going to end up for her collegiate career but at this point, if she keeps doing this, she is going to have a ton of options.

When I saw

compete this past weekend I was both confused and impressed at the same time. Aagard is one of the Top Centers out of the 2025 Class in Iowa and a heck of a competitor. When I saw her at the State tournament a few months ago, her coordination and balance were there but I was only seeing glimpses of it. As in, it was not consistent but this past weekend, Aagard was impressive with her mixture of both of those things. She was catching while rolling to the basket for an easy finish with a soft touch, she was moving side-to-side at a high rate with her feet, and she was EATING on the defensive side of the ball. If Aagard can continue to show her abilities against high level competition the rest of the Spring/Summer, how she did this past weekend, she will be getting a ton of interest from D2 programs across the country, with a possibility of getting some D1 looks as well. You can’t teach size and when you are doing what I saw this weekend at 6’3, it’s truly eye-opening.

of North Polk High School put together a rememberable Junior season with the Comets and she is prepped for a big Spring ahead with her
Lady Pure Prep
AAU team. Aagard is one of the best Centers out of the 2025 Class, that is still looking for a future home after her high school career comes to a close. She is an athlete that stands tall at 6’2 and she moves pretty well for her size. More times than not, Aagard is Rebounding at a high rate and cleaning up the messes of her teammates on both sides of the floor. She demonstrates that defensively she can be a game-changer with her mixture of size and discipline, while being a weapon on offense whenever she is set up for success with some time and space with her back to the basket. This AAU season is an important one for a few reasons but I think it’s going to be the time that Aagard’s recruitment could thrive. If she makes the most of her opportunities, I’m sure there will be a coach or two out there that will be inquiring about her future on the hardwood.
