My second time covering Rhyan this preseason and the attributes and skillset were clearly on display again at the Toledo Top 64. This combo guard can flat out shoot the rock! She has a unique combination of shooting and passing that really stands out. Fantastic facilitator in transition! Rhyan Brown Rhyan Brown 5'5" | PG/SG Notre Dame Academy | 2030 OH showed multiple times on Saturday that she was one of the best guards on the floor. Her confidence to just rise and fire off a quick reversal or pull it coming up the floor is remarkable! Don’t count her out on defense either. She puts in the work and wants to guard the opposing team’s best player. Huge competitor! I’m convinced Rhyan is going to have a big freshman year at Notre Dame Academy!

A confident and efficient young guard who plays beyond her years! This freshman wasn’t afraid of taking and making big shots for her team. She is a lethal shooter from deep! Must find her in transition! Rhyan also loves to leak out in transition and get easy finishes at the rim. Defensively, she got in a stance and showed how she loves to pressure the ball. Elite pressure defender! Rhyan Brown Rhyan Brown 5'5" | PG/SG Notre Dame Academy | 2030 OH demonstrated throughout Sunday’s games why she is a top rising combo guard in her freshman class!

Rhyan put together an impressive all-around performance for Hopson 14U, showcasing the qualities you want in a lead guard. She handled the ball with confidence and creativity, using her tight handle and shiftiness to break down defenders and get into the paint. Rhyan consistently made the right reads, delivering quality passes while keeping her head up in transition to create easy opportunities for teammates. She also applied constant pressure on the defense by attacking the rim, earning multiple trips to the free-throw line and converting several tough and-one finishes. Rhyan added perimeter scoring by knocking down wing three-pointers and turned multiple steals into coast-to-coast baskets. Defensively, she made one of the plays of the day by perfectly timing a transition block. Her ability to impact the game as a scorer, facilitator, and defender made her one of the standout young point guards at the event.
