Although Sadie Maas Sadie Maas 6'0" | C Waukee NW | 2024 State IA may only have moved up 1 spot in this Player Rankings Update, she is more than primed for a big Senior season ahead at Waukee Northwest High School. Maas, a NW Missouri State Bearcats commit, has length and knowledge on both sides of the floor. She is very good with her active hands on defense, as she comes away with a lot of blocks/tips/deflections because of it. Offensively, when she catches with her back to the basket and she has time, she is very good dominating her competition. She has a plethora of skill moves that she can pull out at any given moment and that’s prevalent from watching her for just 5 minutes. Waukee NW could put together a nice run once the Playoffs start this winter if they prepare accordingly. Maas will be ready to go, if everyone else can step up around her, it’s going to be a good season to be a Wolf.

Sadie Maas Sadie Maas 6'0" | C Waukee NW | 2024 State IA just committed to Northwest Missouri State to play basketball for her college career, after putting together a quite impressive spring. Maas is a long and crafty forward. She keeps things simple but can switch it up in a matter of seconds if need be. Her efficient and consistent production are what stand out most about Maas’s game. You always know what you are going to get from her. In this Update Mass moves from #26, into the Top 20 to #19. This class is very competitive when it comes to the rankings. Maas should be proud of this jump because things are only going to get tighter and tighter, as this class gets to the end of their season year.

Sadie Maas Sadie Maas 6'0" | C Waukee NW | 2024 State IA and the Waukee Northwest Wolves didn’t have the exact season they would have liked to record wise but they still won a good amount of games and had a lot of fun time doing it. To go along with that there were some players to really step up and show out this year for their squad, one of them being Maas, who was their leader on both sides of the floor throughout the longevity of their season. In their 21 games the skilled center averaged 13.3 PPG, and 7.7 RPG while being a disruptor in the paint on the defensive end. She did/does a consistent job of blocking opponents shots near the hoop and making it difficult for them to score over her when close to the basket. With her length, skillset and drive I see her ceiling as pretty high. Once she becomes a little stronger and the physical part of her game comes into play, everyone watch out because she is going to be a forced to be reckoned with.

Sadie Maas Sadie Maas 6'0" | C Waukee NW | 2024 State IA and Waukee NW had maybe the biggest turnout for a girls game this season thus far as this rivalry cuts deep on both sides for these programs. The opponent I’m talking about is their cross-town rival Waukee high school. The Wolves traveled to take on the Warriors on Friday evening, ending with a 46-38 victory for the Wolves at the end of the contest. In this one Maas had 20 points on 9/16 shooting along with 10 rebounds to help propel her team to victory. This was a major issue for Waukee as they ended up losing the rebounding battle by a difference of 13 total rebounds, 6 on the defensive side and 7 on the offensive side. The Wolves haven’t put the best season together by starting just 5-8 by they are looking on the up and up moving forward with some momentum after this win. Given the right matchup and where they are seeded, I could see this team winning some games in the playoffs but that will entail some hardworking and things falling into place over the long run.
