In the absence of Bishop Feehan’s top player, Carlson stepped up in a major way. There was no drop off in play from Samantha as they hosted a combative Cathedral squad. Her contributions were essential in getting the team the win. Samantha’s calmness under pressure really stood out. Her presence was felt through the entirety of the game. As she was penetrating the lane as well as finding teammates, the pesty defenders didn’t seem to have an effect on her. Carlson showed up and got the job done, especially on defense. Her tenacity shined bright which resulted in 4 steals. Her 8 points along with the 9 assists were assuredly indispensable.
