Blount is one of the top combo guards in the area, and the thing I have always enjoyed about her game is that no matter what the setting or system is, she finds ways to be relevant. She’s closing it out with a new team and provides instant offense off the bench. Blount gives her school one of the top backcourts in the area, and her going coast to coast to score effortlessly looked good. She also mixes it up offensively by using a deceptive first step to attack and finish, or just blow by the defender. Her pull-up jumper looked good, so did her defense

Blount understands her role and not only adapts but steps up to the plate when needed, and let me say she gave me several hits, including a home run. She’s a “long and athletic” guard who not only can get by the defender with ease, but she finishes acrobatically, yet her ability to create and drop her shot from outside looked good, so did her playing the passing lane

Blount had a breakout season in high school and helped her team make a deep run yet a couple of seasons ago, my exact words were “Her upside is scary” see evaluation here and as usual, I was correct yet her “stop and pop” jumper and acrobatic finishes were nice as well as her defense

Blount was, well let me be blunt, a nightmare to defend as she scored so many ways that I stopped counting. She was dropping the jumper from multiple spots, mid to long range, she scored off the dribble and used nice body control on her finishes yet she also did a nice job putting it in around the basket, putbacks included and yes, she also played the passing lane

Blount is up-front and personal about her game. The lefty long range shooter led all scorers on the weekend averaging 17 ppg. With an extremely high motor, and extended length in her limbs, she made several acrobatic finishes appear viral worthy. I am excited to see how she fine tunes the midrange, and polishes the handles, her future is so bright!

Blount has had her name in my ear for a couple of seasons after her club coach used the exact words “Simmie, I have a future Top 100 you have to see” and guess what, she’s here. I immediately liked her being a “long and athletic” guard that played both ends of the court well yet that well ain’t about to run dry because not only can she drop the jumper, she simply elevates above outstretched hand to release and drop, her high flying also defies gravity as her acrobatic finishes get my adrenaline going. Solid defender and playing the passing lane will have her JEFFERSONIZED “Movin On Up”
