An unbelievable talent as a 2030. When you are watching this kid play for the first time there is no way you think she is a rising Freshmen. She has tremendous skill and is extremely versatile at her size. Standing 6’0 tall she handles the ball well and can stop on a dime and pull up at the free throw line for a quick jumper that hits nothing but net. She is a smooth operator and look forward to watching her more.

A pair of Smith sisters appear to be next up for Gaffney as coach Julian Wright’s team transitions out of the 5A ranks and back into 4A for the first time since the 2015-16 season. Smith has maintained an active athletic plate throughout her career as she has also competed in distance running events. She stands taller than most guards with plenty of length to compliment her height. Smith also possesses plenty of speed and quickness with the ability to finish strong at the rim. Expect for this 2030 to have an immediate impact on her Gaffney team when November arrives. 

Even though Gaffney only graduated two seniors from its 2025-26 version, second-year coach Julian Wright is already pondering the program’s future. Smith looks to be a key piece in Gaffney’s immediate future. She primarily operates in the backcourt and has more height and length than her peer point guards. Ball-handling capabilities are another strength of Smith’s and she is difficult to contain when she attacks the rim and delivers strong finishes at the cup. Opposing defenses also have to watch for Smith’s ability to handle the ball with her left hand but finish with her right as well as her ability to disrupt an opposing team’s passing lanes as a defender.
