Not much left to say about Rautenberg, who is one of the nation’s top volleyball prospects in the Class of 2028 having played on the USA developmental team last summer. She’s equally as impressive on the basketball floor and could be a rare, two-sport athlete in a major Division I league if she chooses to go that route. Rautenberg earned all-class, all-state honors with numbers that jump off the stat sheet. She shot 63% from the field, while averaging 18.2 points, 14.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per contest for the Class C-1 state champions.

Rautenberg was a walking double-double all season for the Eagles and it was no different in the state tournament as Milford capped a perfect season in the Class C-1 state championship game. She posted a 16-point, 13-rebound effort in the state championship game while scored 37 points and grabbing 51 rebounds in the tournament. Also had 11 blocks in three games. One of the top volleyball players nationally in the Class of 2028, we’ll keep banging the basketball drum for Rautenberg who is a sure fire Division I player in both sports.

This space is going to beg Division 1 coaches to take a look at Nebraska’s most talented volleyball player. The 6-4 sophomore is already the top volleyball recruit in the state and may move into the top-10 of our next ranking for the 2028 class in the postseason. On Friday, she dominated the paint for 22 points, 16 rebounds while also adding two blocks. Rautenberg’s body control and ability to play without fouling has been key to her improvement this winter.

Amazingly enough we haven’t typed much about the state’s top volleyball player this winter. She’s worth your watch on the basketball floor, too, for the top-ranked Eagles (22-1). We believe Rautenberg could be a rare two-sport Division I athlete. At 6-4 she controls the paint and makes her team better at each spot on the floor because of her presence. Season averages of 19 points, 14.2 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game, she also set the Milford school record with a 38-point effort against Wilber-Clatonia.

In an incredible week of milestones, she broke her own school record for blocks in a season, increasing her total from 76 to 80, averaging 4.2 blocks per game. Just days later, she set a new single-season scoring record with 38 points—surpassing the previous record of 34—even sitting out the final 6½ minutes of the fourth quarter. That same night, she also broke the school’s single-season rebounding record, raising the mark from 266 (set in 1989–90) to 269, averaging 14.2 rebounds per game. She’s now just 9 points shy of breaking the single-season scoring record as well, meaning she could potentially shatter four records in just seven days.

compete in the middle of the lane. She is the show-stopper defensively against any opponent because of her size and athleticism. In her Milord team’s game today, Rautenberg held a block-fest. She altered several shots the opponent tried to take in the paint, while also cleaning up on the boards as well. She ended up sealing the game with some big put-backs in the fourth and that’s just something you love to see out of a future college committed competitor. (Probably Volleyball but Basketball would be cool!)

has been a handful for opponents so far this season for Milford High School. Rautenberg comes in as one of the tallest prospects in the state, if not thee tallest prospect in the state and she pairs that with athletic ability, motor, and tenacity. Rautenberg is the women in the middle. Once you break down the first layer of defense, she is standing right there waiting opponents to attempt a shot near the blocks. We have said this time and time again but Rautenberg is on pace to be a D1 volleyball player anywhere in the Country by the time she gets college but if she didn’t want to go that route I’m sure there would be several coaches interested in her efforts as a Basketball player over her four years.

this season other than a lot of action near the bucket on both offense and defense. Rautenberg, a 6’4 C/PF, is a D1 level talent in the sport of Volleyball and I’m sure she will have some interest from the D1 level in basketball as well. It’s not everyday that you see a player with this height at 6’4 and when you pair that with her athletic ability + coordination then you start to see the vision that some coaching staff’s could possess. This is a player that handles the inside of the paint with ease. She is a top notch defender that opposing team’s have to game-plan against, while also being a steady scoring threat on the offensive end. I have a feeling that she will choose Volleyball at the end of the day when it comes down to it but until then, she is going to kill it while competing in this sport.

of Milford High School. Rautenberg is coming off of being selected for Team USA Volleyball and that just speaks to her combination of size and athletic ability. This is also someone that happened to dunk in warmups this AAU season on the road this Spring. I’m not saying these two things have anything to do with each other or really the sport of basketball but both speak to her size, athletic ability, and coordination. Rautenberg will have a chance to play college basketball if she so chooses but as of right now, I’d have to put my money on the fact that she is about to dominant the world with Team USA Volleyball. That might be a bigger motivator then you might think but we will just have to sit back and see how it all plays out. Until then, this is someone to know as Milford will look to make a big run moving into the Winter season.

to dunk in her warmup’s on Sunday Morning but that’s what we saw coming from the right wing off of one-foot. Rautenberg, a 6’1 PF, is starting to shape into a D1 prospect on the Volleyball court and that just speaks to her athletic ability. When you take this ability and pair it with natural size + coordination, you get a baller in this field. Someone who is a force underneath the bucket on both ends. Rautenberg showed that this past season on the Varsity floor. That she will continuously be someone that others have to deal with in the middle over the next three years. She has the reach and aggressive prowess to disrupt anyone trying to attack the middle on a consistent basis. I’m not sure where Rautenberg is going to go from here but I’m sure that she will have a lot of collegiate interest in both sports depending on what she wants to do.
