Gilbert’s Shadow Creek squad came up short in the semi-finals (literally one point short). I was impressed with Gilbert following the opening two rounds of the playoffs (see evaluation here) but she was also awarded first-team all district 22-6A. Gilbert is a Houston area underclassmen that must be mentioned when talking about players on the rise.

Gilbert finds ways to be relevant on the court because she understands how to use her athleticism on both ends. She’s a “long and athletic” guard who has shown me she can not only defend, but score in droves see evaluations here

Gilbert, how can I say this, “went completely off” as she brought heat on both ends of the court. Her “on the ball” pressure was smothering at times; she also played the passing lane, yet she also passed by defenders off the dribble to score. Nice body control after contact, and her pull-up jumper gave defenders problems
