Another top end prospect that will be a future Truman State Bulldog after this season comes to close, who played really well today is Sophia Hope Sophia Hope 6'0" | PF Waukee | 2024 State IA of the Waukee Warriors. Hope is a versatile Combo Guard/Forward, that can score from all three levels at a high rate either off of the dribble or catch. Offensively today, she was knocking down shots from deep at a high rate and scoring in the post whenever a mismatch would present itself. If this Warriors team wants to keep their season alive after the Semi’s, Hope and company are going to have to have the game of their season. Something that is possible but we will just have to wait and see how it all turns out.

Sophia Hope Sophia Hope 6'0" | PF Waukee | 2024 State IA is committed to attend D2-Truman State next season but right now, she has been putting together a memorable Senior season. Hope has good size and is pretty athletic. She is a Small Forward, that is very good in small windows or tight situations. Most of the time, she makes a good choice with the ball in her hands and that usually leads to an easy look for herself or a teammate. Defensively, she is just as good, if not better. She makes calculated decisions while demonstrating active hands and feet. If an opponent doesn’t show their determination early on in a ball game, Hope knows that she has the advantage. People say that the game of basketball is 90% mental and Hope excels in that category. I’m excited to see where the Warriors and Hope can take this come Playoff time. They have surprised a lot of people this regular season but we will just have to see how it goes when their season is on the line.

An individual with a versatile play-style on the floor is Truman State commit Sophia Hope Sophia Hope 6'0" | PF Waukee | 2024 State IA . Hope can play the Forward position or she can move into the Combo Guard role on the high school floor. Her ability to do things fundamentally is what puts her ahead of most others for me. When you combined that with her size, strength, and smarts, you get a producer at any level. Waukee High School has some hoopers this season. Multiple players that will play at the collegiate level, Hope included. If they can “click” early on in the year and play for one another, they will could make a State run once the playoffs begin. It’ll all start from the front with Hope but she is more than good enough to lead this team to have a year they will never forget and I can’t wait to see it unfold first hand.

Sophia Hope Sophia Hope 6'0" | PF Waukee | 2024 State IA committed yesterday to play for the Truman State Bulldogs, after her high school career comes to an end. Hope is a versatile, 5’11 forward, who moves really well on the floor. She is the type of player that can spread the court and attack from the three point line, or take the small opponents she might match up against, into the post for an easy finish. No matter which way you put it, Hope is constant producer on the court and she will bring that same energy to Truman State. The Bulldogs got a player here that is going to have a major season at Waukee High school this winter. As long as she sticks to her game and stays confident in her work, she is going to thrive moving forward.

Sophia Hope Sophia Hope 6'0" | PF Waukee | 2024 State IA makes the jump from #31 to #22 in this Players Rankings Update. Hope is a power forward, on the edge of being a small forward in my opinion. She has great size at 6’1 but has a guard skill set while attacking the hoop. She has the ability to get all the way to the rim and finish in a number of different ways or to attack the hoop looking to distribute to an open teammate. Not to mention that her post game is legit. I expect a big July out of Hope, as well as high school season this winter at Waukee. She is a player who can win a game, solely based on her performance alone. Now she just has to go out and continue to kill it.
