About Sophie
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Growing up, I have always been the designated shooter for my team, shooting has always been my strength to the game. I also play point guard when needed. I see the floor, and know how to keep my team organized for plays. I am a aggressive defender and up to guard anyone.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very driven person. I go to every game locked in and ready to play. After every missed shot I always tell myself there’s a next shot, I help up my teammates up when they fall, I am a loud vocal teammate, and I try to be the most positive teammate that I can be.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Freshman year I was a class officer, and this upcoming sophomore year I am apart of student government, I help with many school events. I am also apart of cradles to crayons club at my school.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Overtime, I have became more of a leader. I am a very vocal person, and that is extremely helpful to my team. For community service, during the holidays I help out at La Salette with my family. We sell hot chocolate from 4-9 every Friday during the holiday season.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I started a new school at Thayer Academy my freshman year. I didn’t know a soul going into this school. I had to make all new friends and invite myself into the Thayer community.
What type of college are you looking for?
The college I’m looking for is a college that I am able to get playing time on while also having high academics.
