About Sydney

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Quick and aggressive gameplay, with a team mindset.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is there is always someone on the court that is better than me so I have to always give 100% no matter how I may feel that day. I would also say I am a team player. While I love to score, I am always looking for ways to help my teammates score.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Varsity Choir, HOSA, A & A/B Honor Roll, Church Youth Group

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing basketball at school and through AAU, has taught me the importance of teamwork. We all have to work together whether we are winning are losing. I always give 100% whether we are winning or losing and I play until the last second.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Mid way through my 7th grade season, I broke my collarbone. I had to work my way back to where I was prior to the injury. My freshman season, I had to undergo surgery on my foot for a mass in my tendon. I had to push through rehab and get strong enough to play during that season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that can meet my academic needs in pursuing a degree in athletic training. I am also looking for a place that can feel like a 2nd home to me and where my teammates feel like family and become life long friends.
